Had a phone call from the tabletop sales organiser last night just as I was on my way to bed. A fire had caused some damage (not massive but enough and mainly by smoke rather than the fire itself) and the hall would be closed for the foreseeable future:(:(:(. Arson by kids messing about, apparently:mad:. It's such a low-crime area too. I expect the kids' excuse will be the usual one of being 'bored' and there was nothing to do:eek:

How annoying CBC. I suppose we should be grateful no one was hurt but it will obviously have a massive impact on the community not to mention scuppering your money making plans.

I'm having a very lazy day today but your post inspired me to look for local table top sales - there aren't very many but there are some carboot sales which I was surprised about, don't think I'm brave enough to do a carboot in January!

Me neither, shariann:eek:. Although I love the outdoor ones I'm very much a fairweather booter even in the spring and summer;).

Oh what a shame. Bit of a rough area where I live and they're always doing things like that - often set the bins on fire :(

I'm going to up my target from £2 a day to £3 a day for January to give me some more incentive!
I've upped your target and good luck :D
Hi, I know it is getting near the end of the month but please can I join in. I taken part in this challenge a few times but think this year I will really push myself as I want to use it for decorating the house, paying off debts, holiday spending money and possibly put some towards a newer car.

I have already made some money that I can count towards this month, please can I set a target of £400

I will spend some time today working out what I have already made this month
Hiya and welcome back. Have added you to the list and good luck with the challenge :D

    Evening all :hello:
I've been pretty quiet on here the past week or so because I've not been managing to make any extra. Well done to everyone who has been managing it.
However, I've now got a few things to report - an eBay vintage game which I picked up for £2 and sold for £26.50 = £20 profit. And also cashed in a Waterstones loyalty card today which got me £10 off some presents I was buying today. Also a few free coffees and work discounts.

    Evening all

    F-F-Freezing cold here - all day !!

So whizzed to the shops for some general stuff such as sandwich and bin bags, hand-wash etc and some other bits.

By using vouchers (B**ts) and money-saving multi-buys, especially for my electronic ciggie refills, managed to save a whopping £18.50 :j so really chuffed.

    Hope you enjoying the weekend
