Well done on the football bet and well done Bournemouth for the three points.
I was at the Bristol City game yesterday. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I have seen games where we've been down worse than that by half time and yet yesterday was the worst game I had ever seen. I don't like to be too disparaging of my team but they looked like they were half asleep most of the time. It was a tough game to watch. It's disappointing as it was the first home game of the season I could afford to go to and engineering works and storm Brian made what should have been a simple direct train journey very long and complicated!
Oh well, I'm glad you had better footie news.
Good luck to you and DS. I'm not sure how you feel about medicating mental health problems, especially in children/teenagers. Everyone who goes on medication will have a different experience, so take mine with a pinch of salt but for me personally it was the best thing I could have done. It doesn't wave a magic wand over the problem and fix it 100% but it has made me so much better at being able to cope with things.
The way I see it is if you have heart problems and your Doctor prescribes you heart medication, then you naturally take it to get better. In theory it should be the same for health problems of the mind, but I know a lot of people don't see it that way.
I hope half term is easy for you.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Thank you Florence, it isn't something I would ideally choose to do, however I genuinely feel it can't make things any worse than they already are, and when your child is begging you to help as they can't cope on a daily basis I will try anything
Thank you for sharing your experiences, it is good to hear it worked for you
Sorry that your footie wasn't up to much yesterday, the last Bournemouth home game I went to was a bit like that, but I guess that's all part and parcel of loving our teamsI did enjoy the Spurs Liverpool game this afternoon, they really are playing some beautiful football

Ds is off doing his paper-round, I'm contemplating getting up
Today the plan is to finish a piece of ds homework this morning then go to a local town (me - shopping, ds - train station). Then later on he is going to write his Christmas cards for the houses on his paper-round. We'll see how the plan goes
Other than that I will add in the odd bit of housework and hopefully try and get the holiday fund up to £500 before the end of the week somehow.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Back from town, we had a nice trip out actually, there were some spends but it was a nice trip;
£8.50 M&S food
£4.50 M&S biscuit tin - xmas present for neighbours so not out of my £98
£2.84 - hair putty for ds stocking
£3 Greggs - sandwich, drink and doughnut for lunch
£5.50 - ds lunch & ticket for platform
£2 - Xmas cards for ds paper-round
£2.50 car park (had change in the car for this)
Typically within that lot I ended up with 3 £2 coins - now all £2 coins have to go into the pot, it's the unwritten law in my house, so that's another £6 gone from the weeks money but hey, it has to be stuck to.
The £4.50 biscuits and £2.84 will come from the xmas money, so in effect £19 spent and £6 into the £2 pot. This makes £73 left until paydayThe M&S food seems extravegant but it was all marked down items - 4 x garlic baguettes (to go with tonights tea), 2 lamb leg steaks, 1 x macaroni cheese and 1 x hoisin covered pulled pork (serves 2). All except the garlic baguettes have gone into the freezer but will cover meals for the remainder of the week. Just bread / milk etc to top-up as the week goes on.
So now it's time for a cup of tea and waiting for the heating to kick-in, then I might make a cake.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Morning, the early morning bug has got me today - I'm up and in housework mode
So far my room has been blitzed, all washing brought downstairs and the first load is in. I just need to clean upstairs now. Dishwasher has been loaded, rubbish is all sorted ready to go out in the recycling bin when it gets light. Dry washing has been folded up and taken upstairs or put in the ironing pile. Today I want to get a few bits crossed off my list (and ds' list).

Upstairs is cleaned, bathroom is sparkly, and ds has already done the two pieces of homework I planned to battle through with him today :T :T
The other tasks on his list today are painting over the writing on his bedroom wall and writing his Christmas cards (didn't get done last night). Neither will be the end of the world if they're not achieved today so I can relax and enjoy the day a little more now
I've cleared out the fridge / cupboards of any food that needed to go, I'm going to give the kitchen a thorough clean through today, the fridge and cupboards need it. Again, if plans change it doesn't matter, I can do it when ds is away towards the end of the week.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
