So this morning I was planning on a much needed lie-in .... ds phoned me from his paper-round at 7.30 to pick him up as the winds were knocking him off his bike and he couldn't cycle  I chucked my coat on over my pj's and went and got him. When I got back I'd just got back into bed when the doorbell went and the lady over the road was there, asking me to help - there was a blackbird that had got itself stuck in a party bag in her back garden and was flapping about and she has a phobia of birds. So, coat on again and I've been and rescued the bird. I gave up on going back to bed this time so am now sat in the conservatory with a cup of tea. I'll try again tomorrow

So, now seems like a good time to make a list for the week ahead
I'm not going to put the usual housework stuff on there as that needs doing without saying, but it will be a list of other bits and pieces that I want to get done over the week. Ds is at home until thursday morning and then I get the rest of the week to myself.- Tax return
- Ds - write Christmas cards for paper-round houses
- Ds - paint bedroom wall
- Ds - schoolwork
- Find the £40 needed for my brothers fund this month
- Pay remainder of holiday deposit
- Banking
- Christmas shopping
- Chase Nectar for missing points
- Clean car inside and out
- Tip
- Set timer for heating (again)
- Finish xmas shoebox
- Nieces birthday card
I'll add other bits to it as we go. The £40 is annoying - I should have had £110 payout from quidco at the start of the month but it's been delayed  I suppose it will help next month if it comes then instead.
Today is a pottering day, friends coming over at lunch and then we're off to finally sign up for the model train club at 2.30. It does mean I will miss my afternoon of footie but hey ho :cool:Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

A mixed day yesterday - started off fine, lunch was nice, train club was fine, Bournemouth got 3 much needed points ... and then ds had a meltdown. This time he picked up the remote for the tv and was so angry he snapped it in half
Lots of shouting, thumping walls etc and I ended up going to bed early just to sleep as then I don't need to think about it all
Hopefully today will be a better day, who knows. It's just so unpredictable and explosive.
The plan today involves a couple of pieces of homework and a bath for ds, roast dinner and some pottering for me. Let's see

Christmas shopping is underway while I veg on the sofa watching the footie, I've just bought Mum a SAD light (£40), she gets very depressed in the winter so hopefully this might help a bit. I got it from Amazon using vouchers, so that's £40 I can add to my signature, I will transfer it from my gift fund, £20 into my brothers fund which finishes that one off and £15 into the holiday fund (had budgeted £35 for her present).Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I've been sorting the banking for the rest of this month, its tighter than I realised, I have £98 left for 9 days. It should be doable but it's not going to be wild
We've got roast gammon today, tomorrow will be cold ham and mash, then a couple of days of freezer meals before ds goes away on thursday. I will go shopping tomorrow and get some bread and milk and bits and hopefully that will see me through most of the week.
I did put a sneaky bet on Tottenham to win earlier, so hopefully that will be a few more pennies for the pot in just under an hour (winning 3-1 at half-time
).
I do have some cash at home at the moment, so will put the £98 in my purse as that might help me track it better this week
