  • hurrah! It was probably the quickest £5 to make ever! Thank you for using my code.

I have SB running in the background at work - my phone is kept in a draw in the desk doing its thing. I reach my (rather high) targets by the end of the day so that's the main thing!

I need to get started on Swagbucks so any advice is very welcome, as are referral codes...going to set myself up at the weekend with my laptop and a notebook and really work it all out as I keep putting it off.

I've been to Tesco to get ds the Kellogs advent calendar, but they've sold out at the moment  I did pick up my free roast potatoes and free bread from shopmium / checkoutsmart, so that's a few more pennies saved :money:

I also collected a parcel from the post office and posted some letters. I've sorted out a bag of old clothes which I'm taking to the local cash4clothes place, I'll only get a pound or so but it is better than nothing and gets rid of a pile that's been building up for a while.

One lot of washing is out on the line, it's lovely and sunny here today so making the most of it, the towels are in the machine now then my washing bin is empty (for about half an hour or so probably :o).

  • So.....Swagbucks. I have downloaded the various video apps on my phone - there are 7 in total (get the swagbucks app, then download SBTV, indymusic, entertainmentnow, sportly, movieclips and lifestylz) If you have android you can download them all, if you have an iphone you can't get all of them but I don't know which you can run.

You can run each of them through twice a day - as it resets for US daytime. So one lot of 7 x 10 points before 2am and another lot before 8am = 140 points a day. As long as you watch each video for 4 seconds you can then click "done" and move onto the next one so can whizz through them. Or you can leave them running in the background while you do other things.

Use the search function to search during the normal course of the day and get up to 4 random awards of between 4 and 100 points each day.

do your daily "to do" list - some of them, like the daily poll don't need anything more than a click. Achieving 6 out of the 8 items on the list gets you an extra point but doing all 8 gets you up to an extra 10.

surveys, of course. Plus swago boards and collectors bills when they are available once or twice a month.

You're already a member of the facebook group *uk swagbucks, prolific, mintvine etc* (no, I'm not a stalker, I just know these things!) so use that as it gives loads of handy tips.

Hope that helps - shout if you need more!

Thank you :D I do already do some of them, although never seem to get more than 4 points for a search win , but it was the leaving bits running bit that I was missing out on ;) I will get those bits downloaded and start earning extra points during the day :D

I've got a new app I found via this site - Job Spotter. Basically the recruitment site Indeed are behind it, they pay you in points each time you take a photo of a job vacancy sign. Points are converted into Amazon vouchers. The number of points varies depending on a few things (not too sure what really), the main one is whether it is an independent business or a chain, so a tesco advert would get minimal points but a sign in your local hairdressers for example would get more. So I have been off to my local high street and earned myself over £3 already just from taking photos on my phone :D It was stupidly easy to do and I would definitely recommend it to all of you. I'm going to wander up and down various local villages / towns in the evening when parking is free and snap away to my hearts content.

I also picked up an empty shoebox to finish my xmas shoebox and got a birthday card I needed.

BenBen, I LOVE Job Spotter, I have made nearly £60 since July. I live in a student area of Cardiff where there are 5 independent high streets filled with cafes, barbers, hairdressers and takeaway places so once a month I go on a big walk around them, taking me between 1.5-2.5 hours depending on how active I am feeling and I easily make at least £12 on any one of those trips. I call it the Pokemon Go for Money Makers.

How are you feeling about the Carabao Cup draw? Call me pessimistic, but I have a feeling Bristol City might not progress from the Quarter Final. :D My OH and I are determined to go to the match as it is at home, but are worried as we are just membership card holders not season ticket holders as to whether we will be able to get tickets. Fingers crossed!

I really sympathise with your situation concerning your drop in income regarding DS. I do not have children yet, but my Dad went through that situation dramatically with me and my brothers (there was my Dad, me and my three brothers under one roof of varying ages and benefits would frequently get cut as we progressed through our education). So much of it isn't fair, I was reading the MSE article about University costs and the parental contribution and I feel so grateful that I went to University between 2008-2011 before all the terrible changes, but now I'm wondering if I can support my children and I don't even have any yet!

Take care, have a good rest.

Thanks Florence - I'm so glad I have found Job Spotter, where I live there are lots of little villages and loads of touristy pubs / restaurants so I think it will become a regular thing for me, when ds is at his Dads to go for a mooch around earning some pennies while I walk :) In fact I'm eager to go out and do some more now but the weather is so nice that I really ought to spend the time tidying up the garden before winter sets in. I've pretty much sorted the back garden - all bits and pieces have been put away in the garage, the table / chairs have their cover over them for the winter and I have just done a scoop round picking up any random bits of dog poo that had been missed :o I've also filled a carrier bag with rubbish from the car - I could give it a clean I suppose, in fact I should do that and weed the front garden. Not feeling particularly enthralled about ither of those jobs but they need doing :o

I'm not overly optimistic about our chances of progressing any further in the cup either, (Chelsea). We've got them in the league this Saturday although we will both play totally different teams for the cup. This is only the second time we've got this far in the cup so I'm pleased with how we've done anyway. I have seen Bournemouth at Wembley when we played Grimsby (and lost) in the final of the old Auto Windscreens cup, back in the day!
