Hello, I hope to join in too!
My main aim for 2017 is to save money. I really need to start an emergency pot...for any vet bills or if my washing machine breaks etc
I would also like 3-6 months worth of living cost put aside, so if I lose my job I have a little cushion to fall back on.
Also cutting down the wine, I'm not an alcoholic or anything but I do like to relax in the evenings and have noticed the glass topping up...and up. This will also help slightly with the savings pot. I'm also giving up smoking and trying to save that cash too
    Health and wealth for 2017!
    Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000
    Savings Pot £1,440.00
    Xmas 2018=£100/£300 Australia =£0.00/6000

Each morning I am writing a list with a few things that really do need to be done that day/asap, also adding as I notice them or even complete tasks many small things that will make the house tidier or make me feel happier and more content about stuff. It is a great feeling as I cross each one off and motivates me to add/do more.

Since lack of motivation as well as very poor energy levels have been the cause of gradual deterioration of tidiness/organisation this is giving me a huge boost. I really love the Flylady? 15 minute bursts idea, it works so well for me. At he moment the thought of the full Flylady routine is totally beyond me, but the baby steps thing is good.

Cuppa tea to drink, washing machine to load ........, have a good day everyone.:D

  • My aim for 2017 is to replenish my savings, I used them for a deposit on my new bungalow and have no savings left now. I work part time and am a part time student with 2 years left of my degree to do. Things are always tough but with a little juggling and sacrificing we still have fun as a family. We spent NYE writing 100 things we want to do this year, they include individual things like learning to knit (me), bungee jump (OH) and have friends over for tea (DS) and things to do as a family like sending a message in a bottle or going hiking. We hope to enrich our lives with new experiences and hopefully by the end of the year we will have ticked off most if not all of the things on the list.
Our aim is not to spend too much money achieving these things and to start my saving pot again.

Im off to empty DW, put clothes away which are dry on the clothes horse and get dinner organised.
    Love a charity shop bargain

    Hello!

    My main aims for this year are;

    - Save some money (even if it's just £1000)
    - Make a little bit of money (using TopCashBack, Swagbucks, Loyalty Cards, etc)
    - Prepping for when/if SHTF (My OH and I are also making Bail Out Bags...just in case)
    - MAKE my presents. I'm a nifty cross stitcher :)
    - Make a note of what I am spending more and seeing where I can skim a bit off
    - Enjoy myself! It's good to save, but also need to live a little as well
    - Declutter the house and redecorate

    Not a lot, but it's something :)
Always on the lookout for ways to save money
    Make £2017 in 2017; As of 05/01 = £8.10
