Afternoon everyone, sorry i have been awol, i have had a flare up of my UC and been quite poorly with it but today i feel much better and back to drinking and eating properly

VULPIX sorry you still arent feeling well, DS has had a nasty cold too this weekend. No i wont be framing the picture :rotfl:oh i do sympathise with DDs BF with the migraine poor thing

PEPPAPIG i hope you are over your cold as well, it does seem to be doing the rounds

MURIE wow you are organised with your birthdays well done, i have one more to sort then i am done up to the end of march

CLUMSY i hope the results of your blood tests come back negative and your HR gets back to normal

I am feeling much better tonight.I must be,we have just gone through every item of DD2's clothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a marathon.3 large bags of clothes for local hospice shop sorted.

DD2 is going on a school trip in March.At the meeting last week we were told they cannot wear tops with logos/bands/slogans etc.Do you know out of all her clothes she has a couple of vest tops and a blouse type thing.Could do without having to buy stuff as we are having the expense of a new sink and worktop on Saturday.Think I might ask DD1 if she has got anything she can borrow.She is going to Poland and it will still be cold there in March.

I am struggling to think of a love craft.I might use something I have made for church.We are making things to sell when the church is open in the summer with the well dressing.The theme is the marriage of Cain,so weddings.

Bought a few bits in Matalan sale which are now put away for Christmas, what are my chances of everything bought by Easter? :rotfl:

Trying to systematically spring clean at home, which has now been slightly forced on me. Still got squatters so the big boys came in at the weekend. He thinks that it is a block issue, there are only 12 flats, 6 on my side and as I am on the ground floor, I am probably bearing the brunt of it as they are probably coming in via communal pipes. That would explain why there has been no success to date. LL going in today to block up every possible oriface, so last night I was under the sink clearing out there, how do we accumulate so much, ended up being simply ruthless & binned a lot.

Have had no landline for a month, strangely still had broadband & realised at weekend that BT had not re-booked the engineer as they needed to come in. They realised that they messed up when I phoned them on Saturday (how did we manage without mobiles?) so booked for Monday morning, that was too short notice for work, so came yesterday, meant that I had a chance to clear out some of the drawers in my bedroom while I was waiting. So things are starting to get there in GTQland!

Happy new year! Can you believe its February already
I have bad the laziest start to the year ever imaginable! It's taken 2 days off my feet with a cold, literally didn't leave my bed Monday, to kick me into action.

I did pretty good in the post Christmas sales, I have my Christmas cards and wrapping paper all sorted for next year thanks to paperchase Bought my boyfriends birthday pressies, and my sisters birthday presses, did amazing in the lake land sale! batman mug and bowl and a doughnut making set all for £8 when they should have been £10 each! ! Most importantly I also got my dress for Christmas day next year! Exactly the same as the one I wore this year (velour, wrap around) but green instead of red... and it's 3 sizes smaller so that's rather the incentive to keep going!

I'm going to try and pop by more often this year, so sad I missed out on all the Christmas excitement last year x x x

Free I googled UC.Oh dear thats a lot to contend with.No wonder you were so poorly and fed up last year.I hope you are getting a handle on it now and flare ups are few and far between.

Yes DD2 is going to Auschwitz.I think it is important for young people to have some insight into our history.It is so beyond young peoples comprehension and to a slightly lesser degree mine too.I hope it has a profound impact on her.They are visiting Schindlers factory too.

Pixtots you have done well with your Christmas bargains.I didn't find much,you must have nabbed em all:rotfl:

Off to see Mr V's mother today then on to see DD2's Nanna and she will stay there with her Aunt for half term.

We are going to see the Drifters tonight.One of em is a pal of Mr V.We saw them a few years ago on their 60th anniversary tour!!!!!!!!!!! You forget how many songs you know of theirs,it's the soundtrack to my youth.They are like Triggers brush tho,new heads and handles.:rotfl:

We have had a sprinkling of snow overnight.More forecast for tomorrow,the day of the great VW campervan tour.I can see us pushing the thing up Winnats Pass,Google it.

I took the stool round last night,she was thrilled.I didn't want to take it on Saturday as i don't think there will be much room in the back of a camper van.She still has no clue.

Bloke coming tomorrow to fit the new sink worktop combo.Woohoo.The guy is hilarious.He has bought a field.practically vertical,he was telling us he is making a golf course and how he was mowing it with a garden lawn mower.

You gotta love an optimist.

Afternoon everyone, i have given in and put the gas fire on in the LR it is flipping freezing here, im sure it will be cheaper than putting the CH on and warming up the whole house :money:

VULPIX i know, no wonder the consultant kept repeating 'this is a lifelong condition (freespirit)' i now realise the flare ups are bad and what he meant. I have had 2 flare ups since christmas so not too bad but it does knock me for six. I hope your DD2 enjoys Auschwitz, places like that do tend to stay with you for remembering, when i went to Anne Franks house it haunted me for months afterwards so i think Auschwitz would be even worse. Whoa Winnats Pass looks beautiful but i bet not in the snow, i hope you have a great weekend and the weather doesnt worsen

Vulpix-Im with Free about this generation (and all to follow) being . aware of what's happened in the (relatively recent) past. Having said that DD was awarded a trip to Auschwitz when she was in year 13 and gave it to someone else as she didn't think she would be able to put it out of her mind. Hope you enjoyed the Drifters and have a whale of a time on your camper van day out!

Sorry to hear your UC has been playing up FREE, it's a horrible condition to live with so hope you have a long trouble free period now.

VULPIX hope your cold is on the mend, this damp weather doesn't help. Hope you enjoyed the Drifters, I think the joke with Trigger's broom was one of my favourite bits of Only Fools.

MURIE same here at the moment, drizzle, snow and blooming cold. Must confess our heating has been on all day every day since November

DGD is coming tomorrow for half term so plenty of early mornings coming up for me ☹️ Will be lovely to have her here though and worth sacrificing a couple of hours in bed

We've finally taken the plunge and are putting our house on the market. Photos being taken on Tuesday and EPC being done so should be on the market by Thursday. Fingers crossed we get some decent viewings and an offer.
