    Bore da pawb.

My bed was feeling way too toasty this morning & I really struggled to get out of it, had a horrendous nights sleep too so today is officially sponsored by "Black coffee - keeping Oakdene awake since 1999!!'.

A few presents arrived over the weekend, still struggling on what to get my son but I'm sure something will come to me. Cant wait for our local town (which has no chain shops & is all independent shops) to have their winter carnival as all the shops open late & serve mulled wine whilst you browse & shop.

Sammy Kaye - wow what a morning!! I hope it gets better for you.

Sammy - I'm exhausted just reading about your morning! Hope the day settles down for you.

alja - You have reminded me I need to order a few things from Hotel Chocolat. I'll try & do that today & will remember to get that 10% off code.

Spendless - it sounds like your DS had a lovely time, even if a slightly disorganised few days :) That's great that he has done all that though considering he wouldn't travel locally not too long ago.

I have been buying a few bits here & there and do have a few ideas now for people. The Argos 3 for 2 offer is on again so I need to get some Lego sets for DD2 as I know she wants a few.

It's really starting to feel cold now & I'm getting more and more excited for Christmas. I desperately want to start getting my house cosy & eventually get my tree down from the attic, but we're still decorating various rooms so I need to get that out of the way really, otherwise I'm just going to end up creating more mess. Never mind, it will all be worth it in the end.

I've sorted all my Christmas music out properly now too. I listen to it on my phone but when I started listening on 1st November I knew there were lots of songs missing & couldn't work out why, but realised on Saturday it was to do with the way I had some settings on my phone, so I've changed them now & have all the music again.

Sammy - Denbighshire! Oh no bless you, that sounds like a right morning!! Just think Christmas happy thoughts!

No more ahead on my Christmas shopping but I've basically got everyone's other than the hardest of all, the OH! It's the Christmas light switch on on Thursday so me and my friend are going to go and hopefully get some more presents sorted!

Also forgot to say, I watched 3 Christmas films on Saturday!!! Truly getting into the spirit haha!
  • Had another busy weekend, went to see Henning Wehn on Friday night, he is very funny!

Was on a course on Saturday, so by time I got home, couldn't be bothered to do much, so watched the last of Making a Murderer on Netflix. If you haven't seen it and get the opportunity, it is well worth seeing. I have never binge watched anything, but a couple of weeks ago, watched 6 of the 10 episodes, was completely hooked.

So yesterday had to be a return to normality, washing, couple of hours ironing, cooking & wrapping gifts. I need to wrap as I buy now, as there are too many to do once I factor in the families we are helping, need to buy bags for the families gifts, the place is a tip at the moment, got most of this weekend free, just as well as I am busy every evening this week, so plan on doing a lot of tidying, filling bin bags which WILL be going in the bin.

  • Peppa thanks for the list of previous thread names, 2012 was the first one. I remember coming across ‘Let it Snow’ in June or something that year and thinking this is my kind of thread! I haven’t looked back since! :D

Mrs_Ryan the theatre box sounds like a great idea!

GIAYD sorry to hear the paperwork still isn’t in sight, how frustrating for you! Fingers crossed it gets moving soon!

Sammy I can’t believe no-one told you you were taking your medicine wrong! That could be so dangerous. I’m glad things have improved for you since taking them the correct way. Oh dear sounds like you’re having one of those days, I hope things have got better since this morning!

Fiesty I added a few things to my Amazon Christmas wish list recently and thought I could probably give someone the link if I’m asked what I want!

Spendless I love the Ladybird ‘How it Works’ books! I’ve got my parents the wife and husband ones for Christmas.

    Nice to ‘see’ you mrs-moneypenny!

GTQ Oh I love Henning Wehn! He never fails to make me laugh! :rotfl:
