Still unable to get accepted for the Halifax Clarity card?

I would like a credit card that I can use abroad for mainly general purchases but I do like how the Clarity card gives free cash withdrawals abroad too. I did get accepted for the Lloyds Avios cards earlier this year but due to poor service and I realised the £24 yearly fee just wasn't worth it, I closed the account down.
I am regretting it though, that card saved me a lot of money on my travels over the Summer and came in handy, but in places it just wasn't all that reliable. Even earlier this year, I applied for the Clarity and was rejected and that's when I was accepted for the avios card. Even the 'eligibility test' classed me as 2/10 chance.
Though my finances have changed a lot now and I ran the test a few days ago where it said I had an 8/10 chance of being accepted, so I tried my luck and was rejected yet again.
What do you actually have to do to be eligible for any of Halifax's products? I have a good credit record, never been in debt, always repaid previous credit cards over the years on time. And I'm earning a fair decent living.
I've heard Halifax are strict on these kind of things though. But what do I need to do to be eligible?

They all have their own eligibility criteria and only they know what that is.0

Having an 80% chance of acceptance also gives you a 20% chance of rejection.
At the moment, you don't meet their criteria (something they don't disclose).
From your previous posts, you don't seem to have a long history with any particular line of credit as you keep changing products/providers.

Just be better than you were yesterday.0 -
Are you a student? If so, you might struggle to get accepted.
(Roughly) is your annual income more than 10k? If not, again you might struggle.0 -

How many credit searches have you had in the last few months?
Sounds like dozens from your posting history.0 -

Do you actually need credit? Using Monzo and/or Revolut would save you just as much money, without the credit searches and rejection.Evolution, not revolution0

Looking at the OP posting history suggests he has had upteen credit searches/applications and does not appear to be very happy with any particular lender! Suggest this probably has something to do with it. Lenders like stability.0

Ps JLawson you could try Creation Card a competitor to the Clarity card and does a soft check to confirm eligibility which won't make your search record worse. Unless of course you go on to a full application....but then guess you know this.0

Yep all is good, I just thought with the 80% chance then I'd give it a go but I'll wait until the middle of next year when I'm more than likely going to travel again anyway, with a month's notice of applying, my credit report will be a little more settled0
