Here is one for you then. Managers/assistant managers have been told to watch for anyone buying 10 or more of the same item during the sale and stop them if they think they are buying to sell on. They have been told to us their own judgement depending what the item is.

70% sale will be available in store this Friday.
No7 city lights will not be included in this sale but saved for Valentine's Day instead.

Ive never understood with the knowledge boots have why they have never put a limit on bulk buying. At 70% off there is loads for everyone but the greedy always want more.

Because by the time it gets to 70% off they just want shut of it to clear the shelves so they can put the summer stuff out.

Really???? That'll stop the carbooters/ebayers. I'll be watching out for those who are bulk buying seeing as I'm challenged every time I want more than 6. Last time I was challenged I happened to be buying items that were on 342 so its obvious you would buy in multiples of 3. I was doing shopping for my mam who had had a knee replacement op and wasn't mobile and also my sister in law who had had an eye operation and couldn't drive. We all use No7 primer and seeing as it was on offer and a points event I wanted to do an online order for 9 in store. The SA said it was a security risk because I was bulk buying (security risk??) and the till might not let her do it. She then suggested I take them off the shelf because they had loads coming in the next day. I thought the whole "no more than 6" was to keep stuff in store and to refer people to order online. So I was doing what I thought was best (online order) and she was contradicting herself by saying take it off the shelf. I despair, I really do.

Best way if you want more than 6 is do an online order from home. Job done. The system apparently should only block it if you are doing it on a regular basis.

I used 'My Offers' first thing this morning without any issues though I don't use the App anymore as they don't have it for Windows.

I use it on my phone but via 'My Account' on the desk top site.

I was doing it in store because I'd seen your post about getting the events points instore and qualifying for points for an online order too. Didn't work though as I only got the instore points. Plus a load of aggro and made to feel like a criminal in front of other customers.

I've seen people come in groups or as a family before so anyone wanting to bulk buy can still easily clear the shelves of the same item if there's a few of them working together. They can just split between them when it comes to payment, use different till points etc, its not like they have hundreds of any one item by the time its 70% off usually.

Personally I think there's normally bigger bargains to be had at the likes of Wilko or Superdrug for the likes of Lynx / Dove etc which tends to be what people like to restock their shelves with in a shop for example. I mean, Superdrug had Lynx duo sets for £2.50 at Christmas compared to the £6 or so in Boots. It's just harder to predict when the likes of Wilko will go 70% off (or 75% off in their case!) as there's not all the hype surrounding it.

A bit different though with Ebayers as they'll go for branded stuff like Ted Baker, FCUK etc which are usually exclusive to Boots so can't get them elsewhere on the High Street. Again though anyone wanting to clear the shelves of a single item just needs to bring a couple of mates or family members again. I'm afraid people will usually find a way.
