Another NSD here too. And I'm determined that it will be tomorrow, too. I will go on Saturday, though, as we are making sausage egg mcmuffins for OH's birthday breakfast and I need to get the pork mince.WantToBeSE wrote: »Well, ladies and gents, i've only gone and stuck to my weekly shopping budget for THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS!! :T

I know its because of the support I've received here, so thank you all so much!
Less than 24 hours to go, and I've got about £2.40 left.
Once I've got a grip on this, I'll knock it down by a fiver a month until it's at a more reasonable level.
I'm actually thinking about doing online delivery every week from now on, to almost withdraw from going into a supermarket at all.0 -
I have everything in to make a spicy lentil and carrot soup in the slow cooker so it,ll be ready for dinner after work tomorrow as I feel having been on my own for the past 3 nights I haven't really eaten anything cooked, iykwim !! ( also will make several lunches for next weeks work lunches).
then my husband returneth and I will cook to my hearts content ( hopefully without too much shopping ).
just had to say how proud I am that I've brought up a girl who actually cooks real food esp since she has turned vegan. She sent me pics of her hm soup and her veggie bolegnese she batch cooked today ready for the next week.
Regarding shopping, slight slip up going into supermarket as spent £13.60 on mostly salad ingredients I possibly could have done without. never mind it was a healthy dinner and have a lovely lunch packed ready for tomorrow.
So need To cross off the NSD and add £13.60 to my total . Motto is surely don't enter !!Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -

Well done WantToBeSE!!
€7.50 on straw for the dogs outside kennel as we have a bad weather warning this week, and 49 Cent for a bag of pasta in Lildels0 -
Just getting in on this!My budget for the month is £80 for two adults (we are on a mega strict budget because of a house move).
This budget just includes food - I budget separately for toiletries and household stuff.
We have spent £64.59 so far but this includes a mega stock up and the freezer is full of food. We have been sticking successfully to this budget for a couple of months and as I am sure you find too it is all about the meal plan.0 -
I need to figure out multiple quoting again. I went through a clicked a few posts to quote at the end when I caught up reading but can't remember how to get them to show in a post. Will go back when I've got more time and reply to the posts I wanted too.
Main shop done today and still not too bad on the spends. Need to be a little inventive with the foods in the freezer as I still have half a drawer of unidentifiable meats.Grocery Challenge 2024
