The suffix "-tard" is used to indicate "retard" as you well know.
Did I say it wasn't? The term is Brexit +ard and the suffix -ard is not -tard.
Either way I do not use the term.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
A bremoanertard, perhaps?
Still hurling insults six months after the event, even at people who accept the outcome. Yet another example of the Leavers being so angry.
This notion will stay divided if this goes on........Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
It is six months today since the referendum.
Frankly if I had voted for something to happen (Brexit) I might not be angry that six months later little has happened but I might be slightly irritated.
As a remainder I am happy that Britain can enjoy the benefits of being a member of the EU for six months longer than I expected.
Eh?
"As a remainder..."?
Er, one living in Luxembourg.
Who has vowed never to return to live in the UK.
I'm sorry, but how exactly does that make YOU a "remainder"?
As has been pointed out to you in a similar thread, stuff like this diminishes anything serious you might have to say. If you really do want to be taken seriously you could at least cease the attempts at deception. Then it might carry some weight when you say other things.
This apart, yuletide felicitations to you.0 -

In the absence of any good news, Yuletide felicitation to you too. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

A 'petard' for example is not a !!!!!! pet.
You brexiteers are such snowflakes. :rotfl:
This is all rather silly though, isn't it....arguing that Brexitard doesn't have any links to the word retard?
@Brexitard on twitter is devoted to: "Congratulating the idiots who voted for Brexit by highlighting the consequences of their stupid decision."
It's obvious what it means to all and sundry - so pretending otherwise just looks a little pathetic.
The words Brexitard and Retard and used frequently together, even in comments on articles on the guardian. A simple google search will give you enough evidence.0 -

Fundamentally, there are no definitve definitions of these terms. I did do a search on Google and there are many ways that Brexitard is used. It is arguable that it means what you say but it is also arguable that it simply refers to a Brexit fanatic by the addition of the suffix -ard.
Why is it so important that Brexit fanatics wish to define the term? The important issue is that it is intended to be perjorative and those wanting proper debate should not be using it (or Remoaner). Whilethis sort of bile might be typical of Twitter, surely these forums shoul be better than that?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Isn't all the name calling all about assigning blame. After all when it all goes pearshaped who are they going to blame? Themselves - unlikely. So they will blame those who did vote to remain, after all it couldn't possibily be the fault of those who voted leave could it?
I will now sit back and await the bile! Because it seems that is all we "remoaners" should expect.0 -

Och you poor wee sausage. I think you need to find a safe space, have a lie down and read Chicken Licken the sky won't really fall down.
Have some courage and don't listen to all those nasty stories and you will feel much much better.0 -
What nasty stories? I said I expected bile. I just hope that now we are leaving that we do actually leave. As in hard brexit as anything else will just be a waste of everyones time & money. And the sooner the better. The 27 members have made it clear that they will concede nothing unless we pay as much as we are now without any rights at all, so what is to discuss? Apart from how many millions the talks will cost us.0

Didn't realise that negotiations had started. An individual expressing an opinion doesn't equate to policy.0
