Labour people, its time to dump Corbyn

That's exactly why the Tories were talking about reducing the minimum wage in some areas as part of their grand schemes to help busineses/the economy.
I suppose there is an argument for a regional minimum wage outside of London. You can live a lot better on the current rate in Gateshead than you can in Guildford.0 -
and all having identity cards…
I believe there are now discussions in Europe around making train passengers show ID before buying a ticket.
So much for FOM - little different from carrying your passport.

Just watched Chakrabarti get massacred on newsnight. Truly awful.0

The question of what Corbyn actually thinks is one of the great enigmas in the world.
Actually I beg to differ (quite seriously).
What Corbyn thinks is abundantly clear. He thinks he's incredibly important & much cleverer than the rest of us. His self-importance is absolutely staggering & matched only by his total & utter lack of anything resembling a sense of humour.0 -
The man is simply thick.0

Much as I hate to agree with you about anything, that does about sum it up. People often talk about politicians being idiots, but in the U.K at least (America is a very different matter imho) the reality is that most of the people who get anywhere near leading one of the two major parties are far from stupid
Out of touch perhaps, and often misguided. But generally very bright.
But Corbyn really is an idiot. To have had the educational opportunities he has enjoyed and to come out with so little suggests a very limited intellect. And nothing in his career suggests anything else.
And there of course is his primary problem. He simply isn't clever enough to do his job effectively.0 -

Basically a figurehead because he looks and sounds like a nice old chap and cares about the poor. Strikes a chord with the disillusioned.
Just the kind of chap you need hanging around the fringes to balance out public perception against the actual hard nosed decision makers.
Unfortunately not the kind of guy you want in charge.
Great when talking about problems, useless when it comes to solutions.0 -

It's an urban myth that Corbyn is a nice genuine guy, I cant stress this enough.
I consider him malevolent and insidious.
The whispering threat in his voice, the tolerance of anti Semitism, applauding IRA blokes that were shot in the process of bomb planting, shoulder to shoulder with evil Islamic figures that really would throw gays off towers, very mild in condemning serious intimidation of Blairite female MP's, I could go on.
His first wife hints at a man that put his political gameing well ahead of family life.
Colleagues say he deliberately went out of his way to take a detour to his flat one morning insisting they accompany him, on the pretence of collecting some leaflets, but the real motive was to show off the black woman lying in his bed - Dianne Abbott - the ultimate virtue signalling validation opportunity0 -

Utterly agree. He might look like a harmless guy before you've ever heard him speak but the moment he opens his mouth you realise what a really nasty character he is.
That's a big part of the reason he's doing so badly in the polls. If he came across as affable & likeable his ludicrous policies might not matter so much. But the public has worked out fairly quickly that he is a petulant egotistical control freak and nothing like the kindly school-teacher type they might have thought he'd turn out to be.
Worse, he's not even true to his own convictions. He announces policy on a whim & as soon as it's been demonstrated to be unpopular he simply changes it. Had a Tory or even a Nu-labour leader done similar the Momentum types would have been up in arms.
Unless he lucks out in a major way due to some black swan event it's looking like just a matter of time before his own followers lose patience with his incompetence & turn upon him.0 -
I didn't say that he was a nice old chap, just that he looks like one.0
