If you ain't paid it's free...
They have paid. It's £240 per month if we are talking about DLA. No matter how you try to twist it, there is payment involved. Even if it were free, who cares? Why is it so important to you to envy or dispute someone else's entitlements from the State?
... for some living is free and it's still a lifestyle choice however you try and disguise it.

    It's not a lifestyle choice.

Where does the £240 come from?

    Does it matter?

They can give £240 of their income to obtain a car, and so can anyone else.

    Totally fair.

Well clearly not because it suits the arguement the car isn't free.

The car isn't free. It's not an argument, it's a fact.

EVEN IF it was free, it still wouldn't support your argument (whatever it is).

    Never paid into the system.

Get benefits for everything you use and purchase. Free house off the housing association. And do that for what should be your full working life.

How isn't that person getting everything free?

We have a country where some live off handouts whether you admit it or not.

Polite request to those tackling tothepoint's bile on here:

I've never felt the need to add anyone to my ignore list on here before but his unbridled bigotry has created a first. Please can you all do me a favour and not quote him when replying cos the quotes will still show. I'm not not sure my blood pressure will cope with much more of his vile views and I really don't want to end up "scrounging on the sick" thanks to a TTP induced coronary.

Thank you for your kind cooperation :)

Who hasn't? My disabled friend worked for 25 years before becoming too ill to work.

I think you have missed the point. No one disputes the reality that some people live on benefits. Some of those people live on benefits for an extended period.

I suppose the difference is that none of us resent those people.

We know that the benefits system is far from generous and far from being a walk-over in terms of paying benefits where there is no entitlement.

We also know (I expect) that disabled people can find it very difficult to gain employment, even where their skills match or exceed those of able-bodied candidates.

You are making the same mistake that a lot of people, including myself make- imagining for one second that 25, 30, 40 or more years of paying through the nose for "National Insurance" entitles you to anything, as if you deserve to get something back for your investment.

You get exactly the same entitlement as someone who has paid nothing, and has no intention of ever paying anything.
When you think about it you wonder why on Earth you could be so stupid as to pay all that money in when you actually didn't have to, and you seem worse off than people who didn't, disabled or otherwise. :(

Thing is someone has to pay for it all, and it ain't going to be our Lords & Masters that's for sure :rotfl:
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Trolls should check their facts - non of the above cars will be available from Jan 1st 2017.

And of course they're not free.

A I am not a troll just someone that's fed up with people like you, tothepoint and others that are totally ignorant to the people that are disabled..

    Also

Your assuming you know what is going to be available from motability again ignorance as you know nothing.!!!!!!!
