Benefits without employement is free living. Maybe that's you.
Regardless of who Mercdriver is, it's pretty clear who you are from the attitude of your posts.
As someone who works all the hours possible in his own business, in order to pay taxes that (among other things) support others less fortunate, knowing that people with your attitudes are out there frankly leaves a pretty bitter taste in my mouth.
Regardless of that, if (God forbid) you're ever struck down with an illness or accident that leaves you disabled I won't begrudge you your free car or free living on the back of my hard work.0 -

Did I say that or is it what you want me to say?
I said from the off, it is a free car for some however the lefties what to dispute that fact.0 -

I'm glad you won't begrudge it. I've paid in for long enough in case I need it. But sadly this countries onto third and forth generation of won't works.
You work all the hours possible just to pay tax? No you don't you pay tax relevant to your income.0 -

And what of those who suffer disability from too early an age to "pay in long enough"? Sling 'em in a "facility" with the rest of "their kind", perhaps?
There but for the grace of [insert deity of choice] go any of us.0 -

If it really is just the latter, well that seems like a strange kind of fascination. In reality, there is a whole World out there of varied tragedy and unfairness. Perhaps a little perspective could be brought to bear?I said from the off, it is a free car for some however the lefties what to dispute that fact.
The problem is that "free car" is one of those nasty factoids that the Internet likes to disgorge. It looks like a fact, and it's used like a fact, but it's actually an agenda-oriented selective presentation that's been simplified beyond its ability to convey useful meaning.
The car is not free, as such. It is paid for using sacrifice of benefits. It is the benefits that are "free" as part of the Welfare State.
You, too, can have a "free car" in the same sense as someone using Motability. Simply sacrifice £209 of your monthly income and sign up for a 3 year lease on a SEAT Ibiza Sport Coupe 1.8 TSI Cupra Black 3dr. (3+35 payments, 8000 miles pa).0 -

It's the first time I've been accused of being a leftie!
So it seems you're not against all benefits, simply those benefits used to pay for the car? Or is it OK for them to get the benefit so long as they spend it on something else?
If you're against the benefits themselves, which of the eligible ones don't you like?
- Personal Independence Payment
- Disability Living Allowance
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement
- Armed Forces Independence Payment?0 -

You seemed to have convieniently missed my post. So what if it's a free car, what point are you trying to make?.
Considering we are NOT talking about people who choose not to work and live off benefits. These are people who have been professionally categorised as having a disability that makes "normal" everyday living more difficult. So why shouldn't they get a free car?.
It's quite ironic how you post using the name "Tothepoint"0 -

If you ain't paid it's free, for some living is free and it's still a lifestyle choice however you try and disguise it.0 -

And how would you qualify for those if you've never worked?0 -
