In a quandary, I have enough money to pay off one of the credit cards in my ISA, which is gaining (small) interest, but I also have an interest-free period on this card until July. Do I pay off the card and have that amazing feeling of clearing it, or do I keep it in my ISA until the last possible moment to gain some tiny interest?
I feel like I need a decent pint to help me decide!

It depends how motivating you would find a zero balance. Personally I'd pay it off because I'm rubbish at keeping money in savings :o
On the other hand, how much interest will you earn and can you use it to pay towards another debt? :)

I'd pay it off simply because I'm itching to get shot off my debt!

I've had a very lucky month as had a couple of refunds due to me, but I also started using YNAB properly and I'm already seeing MASSIVE progress in just four weeks!

Total of £839.40 paid off this month, so my totals for Jan are: £839.40 / 6136.40

    :j:j

Hi! Do you have to pay for YNAB? I've seen it being talked about but it looked like you have to pay?

  • Hi. Finally off the starting block after rejigging my debts last month. First payment is that annoying hangover interest, so £25.92 paid. My first loan payment should come out in the next few days too :)

    Total so far £25.92/£8302.47

  • YNAB is great Peachy!

Yes you do have to pay for it but it is well worth it!

I got a free trial last year for the old version but have now upgraded to the new version that cost $45 with the lifetime discount you get after the free trial. (I think! it was a couple of months ago that I bought it)

I takes a bit of getting your head around but it's an amazing tool.

I'm still a bit of a newbie with it so I'm sure others will be along in a while to give you more details. Just have a look at their website and youtube for a bit more of an idea. There is a thread on here but it is quite long!
