I have just been checking my bank account and realised that if I really reign in my spending for the next couple of weeks I should start may overdraft free. :j I want to get rid of this as I haven't had an overdraft for about four years but had to set up a small one of £150 for the past few months. It will be so good to see it gone as its really been bugging me to have it back again.:mad:1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

No 78 finally able to make a payment :j:j:j of £1,200. Taking my total paid off to £9,000 of my target of £10,000
Had lots of bills in March (car insurance, MOT, servicing and birthdays) felt the longest month ever. On the plus side I've not added to my debt and have really hit the surveys (which can be painful at times ).
Hopefully little bits will continue to be paid and i can get rid of this debt :j:j:jmortgage free wannabe outstanding Now £26,000 2019 £40,000 2018 £46,900 2012 £109,000 Survey 2017 £355 2018 £438 2019 £412.91 2020 £260.43 2021 £308.89. 2022 £383.700 -
No 054 1433.95 is my new total that i have paid off.
Have paid off 331 this month. Not sure if we can keep this up long term as we are waiting for our house to complete and we will need extra money to pay for some home improvements. Will not be using the cards but hoping if i go to minimum payments on them it will give us a bit extra for a few months.
If you dream it can you do it????????0 -
MUST REFOCUS
House of Fraser have the matching sideboard to my dining suite on off with £400 off - really want it but need to get rid of this debt first so I have made myself a coffee and intend to sit here and read this forum until the urge to click 0% credit passes!! My bank loan of £635 has just gone out of the bank and if I ever want to get out of this hole I need to stop digging. Hope everyone has a lovely but frugal Easter weekend x0 -
Hello sharronej.
Sit down and add the cost of the new furniture o to your existing debt. The work out how much longer it will take for you to pay it off. Your current DFD is........your new DFD is.........
It may help.
Its hard when you want to improve your home and I know where you are coming from. Keep strong.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Thank you parsniphead, the truth is that I have become spoilt - I just spend money (or credit) without thought and that's the real issue and part of the reason why we are in the financial predicament we are in. Or dfd is four years away and includes our mortgage which ends in two years - I have promised myself a new kitchen when we finally get there so I guess what I really have to ask is how much longer do I want to wait for those shiny new units! This weekend I am going to do some painting (already got the paint) in my old kitchen - I might even tease myself by looking on some kitchen websites lol :rotfl:0
