Hello! We accepted an offer on our flat at the beginning of the week with a projected move in date at the end of next month so all going well I should have an extra £270 each month from June to add to my efforts. We're not going to start looking for somewhere new until at least September so that's my new goal, debt free by September (or a close as possible) :D

    £40 off today for me:

    #118 £943.07 / £4861 (19.4%)
Total debt at LBM = £4861.03

    DFBXmas2018 #91 - £3342 / £3500 (95.4%)

HTB ISA - £0 withdrawn for house purchase! :D
    Wedding Fund £2550 / £5000

So, haven't included the payment from the 0% CC offer as although it's reduced the total interest I'll pay, it's still money I owe. But while I was on a roll with money moving, I paid an extra £700 off the loan from our savings as it still leaves us with enough of a buffer for emergencies, so new total is

  • Hi I don't know if anyone can help me with this question I have £2000 left to pay on a Zopa loan 13 more payments at 6.9%. Is there a way of cutting this by transferring it to a low rate credit card. i have 2 CCs at 0% even cutting it a bit.

Hi BBC, I just paid off £3k of my loan (at 3.4% APR) using a cash advance offer from Barclaycard (1.9% fee, 0% interest til March 2018) and will save around £200 in interest over the term of the loan. Is this something you can do with one or both of your 0% cards? If the transfer fee is less than 6.9% and you can pay the card/s off in full before the end of the 0% period then would be worth doing. Am sure there are some more financially savvy people on here who could give you better advice though... :-)

Checking in and seeing how great you are all doing - well done to one and all !

I am patiently waiting for payday now, had a small pay rise which works out to about £42 extra a month.
So have upped my minimum payment on one of my 0% cards.
