    I guess that what can happen when you bring your parents into your domestic problems.
    As my friend found out to her cost, after dissing her partner to her parents a number of times, she was upset when they refused to have him in their house or even socialise with him.

    Maybe things might improve if both your Father & your partner didn't get 'bladdered'.

    Is your Mum involved in all of this?
    If she is, and is as disgusted at your Father's actions as she should be, can she tell him that his behaviour is not acceptable?
    And is he likely to take any notice?
