Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.

Had a fun day at the paid stuff yesterday actually mixing with real people. Back to working from home today.

I need to do the shopping list part of today's list so will get cracking on that now. Fish order first.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning all,

That is wonderful news Lynn :j so so pleased for you xx
Dizzy - how are you doing lovely? X
Dancemum - it would have set me off too, my oh my. Big hugs to you xx

Penultimate day of school here, hurrah! I've got a very tired DD. Both kids out all day at school and pre school and I'm being taken out for lunch by my uncle :D looking forward to that, I don't see him much.

Need to shove a wash on, unload DW and do the financials beforehand. If time allows I'll steam the floors too.

    Have lovely days all xx

    Good morning ladies :)

Brilliant news Lynne - what a relief indeed. CHRISTMAS is back on again in your house, I guess. There, I said it. And in capitals too. I suppose I'll have to get the decs out now...groan...

Fingers crossed that the visit results in a booking LW. I'd love to send my dogs on holiday at the moment. The paddock is ankle deep in mud and trying to keep it out of the caravan is a nightmare. Oh, and the two male dogs had a scrap while I was out on Tuesday. Both nursing bites

Did get quite a bit done yesterday, but it doesn't feel like it. I was making cold porcelain star tree decorations (with classmate names impressed into them) late last night, for Small to decorate tonight as presents for his friends. Just checked them and not quite dry yet. Got to make another batch as another eight children to do.

Cup of tea and my day begins. C'mon girls....we can DO this :rotfl:

Great news Lynne; you must all be so relieved.

Dizzy you're not the only one not got the decorations out .... S will be 10 on Monday and I think this year we're leaving it til then as his birthday gets all jumbled in with Christmas. May put the outside lights up though on the weekend.

LW glad the visit went well; hope you get a booking out of it. I think you're doing great meeting all the people - does it get a little easier each time or do you still get anxious beforehand?

    ATB enjoy lunch!

Trying to type with a Whippet draped over my arms - not easy but he's sooo snuggly and warm! Got the WM on and am going to gather up any more cups and run the DW. Bit of paid stuff then think I'm going to take Whiz out for a walk then do some flying and a bit more wrapping but really almost there now. Do have to rethread my overlocker as I was going great guns and then there was a whirring noise and bam the thread broke - grrrr. Need to do it in daylight as very fiddly to do and need natural light.

    Have a great day all

Phew Lynne what a relief! Xx

I've wrapped all presents, except stocking fillers. Glad it's out of the way. Not achieved much else today. Although I went to DS assembly he got an award for behaviour lol no wonder he's being a git at home he must be tired of being such an angel at school haha.

This afternoon I need to get the mud off his footy boots and have a general tidy around then sort tea before we head out.

    Off I go!

Hope you're having a lovely time, kazw ;) - kind of you to pop by :rotfl:

One hospital appointment for DH decluttered: came home to find appointment letters for two more - one on Christmas Eve (possible) and one on 28th (inconvenient as we have a visitor that week).

Must go shopping now, as we've run out of almost all the fresh food  Will hang the wreath on the door and put up cards later this afternoon.
  • OMG. Remember our unpaid invoice issue?

IT. HAS. BEEN. PAID. I am absolutely over the moon and we can breathe a massive sigh of relief.

She will be cross at me but I just have to make the biggest of public thanks to the lovely BiscuitMonster who, despite the busyness of her own life, took time to help me get back what was rightfully ours. You are an absolute legend xxxx

Off to do the school run then dance round the house :j:j:j:j

Glad to be able to offer some great news - my DSD's results were fine. She has to have a little repair op but fine otherwise - BIG relief all round.

Thanks - we did get a booking for February for a weekend, and looks like we're going to get a main holiday booking later in the year:T
Sadly it doesn't gat any easier, meeting new people (the dogs are fine of course) - I lie awake all night, going over and over it in my head, and generally making myself totally miserable, both before and afterwards. But hey ho, if I want to keep having dogs, I have to put my big girl knickers on and just manage, and deal with the fall-out later.

Without recourse to the County Court, then, I'm thinking. That's great. And good on BM for going the extra mile for a fellow Flylady.
Like Manny says, in "Ice Age" "It's what you do in a herd". :T:D

Did the dreaded hot wash today - hand towels, hankies, a hair towel covered in red hair dye, that sort of stuff - most important item: the doggie tea towel (I have one that I keep for doggie dishes). All now festooned around the bathroom. We shall argue about who irons the hankies later.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hugs to all
Glad to invoice has been paid
