Met niece and great niece for breakfast at the Swedish store to swop presents.
Popped in pet shop for dry cat food and to the jumble shop and treated myself to a new pan and oven tray.

On returning home exhausted had nap. Woke up with asthma.

Cat had used her litter tray so that had to be changed then sink sterilised.

    Now I'm cooking tea X

    Early night I think.

    Lynnejk that's good news X
LW congrats on getting a booking. X
Glad invoice has been paid at last. ATB Well done BM for helping.
Ionafan Well done on working on your assignment. Hope hospital appointments go well. X
    Bossy Well done X
Hello to returners and lurkers x
  • Oh thank goodness atb, what a relief.

    And great news Lynne too.

4 hours on job no. one, straight to 3 hours on job no. two. Minimal flying but I did manage a quick tidy round this morning and the basics are done at least.

So now with no work tonight, no footie training and no gym classes I actually get an evening in front of the telly. A rare luxury these days.

    Roll on the weekend.

Aww ATB that's great! Just in time for chrimbo! I would still scratch them off your Xmas card list though - gits. I also wouldn't enter into any more work with them!

New blinds are up. Not loving them to be honest but I can't think of anything else that would work there. Ah well. Perhaps they'll grow on me...

Kitchen and DR wiped round after dinner, took DS to football, decluttered a chat with the other mums and sorted party plans for Saturday.

Chased kiddies to bed and here I am. I'm having a mince pie and a hot chocolate :)

    Night all

We shall argue about who irons the hankies later.:D
I ended up ironing the hankies. And the serviettes. And the tea cloths. But actually it was a win-win situation; Mr LW did the WUDUPA, which was the shorter job time-wise, but y'see, I'd sooner do an hour's ironing than 30 mins WUDUPA any day of the week. :D

Ahem, Valli are you reading this? I HAVE NOTHING LEFT WANTING IRONING! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Wanna do mine LW? :rotfl:

Hair cut and colour decluttered - I'm pleased with it. Cleared up the kitchen, put away clothes .... struggling to think of other things but I did have a nice walk with Whiz. Not cutting the mustard am I?!!

(((Hugs))) Valli, and brilliant fixing going on there. I, too, have a copy of Mrs Beaton HM, my grandmother's, somewhere in the attic so there is no chance at all of me being able to find it in the foreseeable future, although I know where all the boxes of books are. Just can't get to them at the mo.

Fabby news Lynne and ATB, and thank you both so much for sharing it with us. Makes me feel quite cheerful.

I've amazed myself today. All on my lonesome I have put together two kitchen base cabinets, one with a drawer as well as a cupboard. The only things I haven't done are fix them to the wall or put the handles on, but there in situ and I am as chuffed as a chuffed thing can be with what I've achieved. I'd never have attempted that three years ago, and there they are, standing all square and finished.

Not a lot else done on the flying front, though. No cards written, no tree up, no deccis, nuffink. I must do my American cousin tomorrow as today was the deadline (oops) and the threatened postal strike next week.
    Better is good enough.

Ditto this for you ATB. So glad BiscuitMonster was a fabadabadoobie flylady :j

Oh, and Bossy - I've upgraded my hot chocolate to white wine.

I put string up and displayed the cards received so far. I actually did this three times, due to very helpful kittens  The same kittens who have shredded the net curtains in both bedrooms (hello neighbours ) and peed on the dog bag this evening. Time to be released to discover the great outdoors, I think. Two gonks and a tweed reindeer plonked on the masterpiece in a hopeless attempt at festive cheer.

Got my flylady secret Santa pressie today too, which is exciting. I've had to hide it in the wardrobe to keep it out of reach of curious moggies.

Small was Joseph in the nativity play today. Took his role as Mary's husband seriously, bless him. Oh, and he only went and won a trophy for the hardest working child in his class. Proud mummy moment. His little girlfriend won the other trophy for being an excellent listener. Her mum is a good friend of mine now, so we were all puffed up together. This is on top of his schoolmate's grandpa texting me to say what a polite and kind boy he is and that he is welcome to tea there any time!!

I'm not sure whether to be pleased that he is so good away from home, or frustrated that he's a total git when he's with me!!

Taking my wine to bed to watch the second half of a film I zonked off during yesterday evening...

    See you all tomorrow xxx

    Evening all

Glad to be able to offer some great news - my DSD's results were fine. She has to have a little repair op but fine otherwise - BIG relief all round.

    Excellent news.

Still mad house here. 2 more assessments to go; one tomorrow and one next Wed then.....oh lots to write up. All being well, only one more student to see.
Just about keeping up with DW, WM and daily clutter....well maybe not the clutter.

OMG. Remember our unpaid invoice issue?

IT. HAS. BEEN. PAID. I am absolutely over the moon and we can breathe a massive sigh of relief.

She will be cross at me but I just have to make the biggest of public thanks to the lovely BiscuitMonster who, despite the busyness of her own life, took time to help me get back what was rightfully ours. You are an absolute legend xxxx

Off to do the school run then dance round the house :j:j:j:j

Fantastic news and 3 cheers for Biscuit Monster
