    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening all

I just can't believe it. Last night I managed to fall out of bed - fast asleep in the middle of the night until I hit the floor. Fortunately I managed to avoid any sharp furniture edges and landed on my front and left hand. So bruised ribs and elbow and little finger on said hand very bruised, swollen and sore - having to type with one hand :o

DH has been very helpful - thank goodness he was off work today. He finished off the freezer clean under supervision, went to pick up the meat order at the butcher and did the WU this evening. I managed three loads of WM and TM and he remade our bed with clean linen.

Hugs, gws vibes, sticks and spoons for anyone wanting some
Hope you all have a super Saturday

Lynnejk - that sounds painful. Hope it's healing nicely today.

Morning all. Up at silly o'clock for some reason. I have visitors today but must pop to post office before they arrive.

I need to change our bedding, hoover through, walk the dogs twice and whatever else I can find time to do. Visitors will be gone by mid afternoon.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning all,

Was very late to bed last night, most unlike me, so feeling jaded today. Got a busy day ahead with DD's dance shows so flying will be minimal. Must must steam the floors though (yep, still not done :o)

Lynne - that sounds painful love, hope you're not too sore xx
Narco - your flower arranging sounds lovely, any chance of pictures please? X
Mrs MP, sorry to hear your mum has hurt herself, big hugs to you X
YL - nice to 'hear' you sounding chilled :)

DW chugging away, DH gone to work, DD still asleep and DS cuddled next to me ( as is the dog!)

    Have lovely days all xx

GWS wishes (no hugs because of bruised ribs!) to lynnejk and mrs-mp's Mum.

Sitting here with my cuppa, about to get more inspiration for the essay writing. Did another 500 word section yesterday, and read that bit out to a friend who rang me in the evening and knows about the subject - she said it made sense and sounded good, so I am encouraged. Intending to write the last main section today, and if I can get the conclusion done as well that will be a bonus.

DH went to bed without emptying the DW or washing up the pans yesterday evening  I hate coming downstairs to a messy kitchen, so I had to stop up and do it. It didn't take long, it's just the principle of the thing, and by the time I'd finished I was past tired and didn't get to sleep for ages. Hence the late (for me) start this morning.

The majority of people on the :xmassmile Flylady Secret Santa :xmassmile list have told me they've posted their gift, and I know that most of these have already arrived safely (hopefully the others are on their way, or very soon will be). Thanks to everyone who's taking part - it all adds to the fun!

Here's wishing everyone a calm, pain-free and productive day x

Healing vibes for Lynne and Mrs MP's mum as well as Natty. I know the therapy is painful while it's happening but it'll stand you in good stead in the future. (((Hugs)))

Good luck with the essay today Ionafan. I hope it all falls into place and you zip through the final section so that the conclusion virtually writes itself. You've worked so hard on it and it's been hanging over you for so long you won't know yourself when you wake up the day after it's finished.

OH has put his shelves up (hurrah!) where the old fridge freezer used to be, so today he's going to do his wardrobe shelves (at long last, we seem to have had clothes strewn all over the bedroom for months), a hanging rail in the kitchen and handles on the new kitchen units, as well as screwing one of them to the wall. Then it's the tree and deccis, friends coming in for a drinks this evening before we all go out for a Christmas meal. If we can get through all of that without having a snit at each other it will be a miracle.
    Better is good enough.
  • Manic day today - I'm starting quiet. DH got in at 0400:eek: I'm not sure what state he was in. Colo-rectal dept. Xmas party. The mind boggles:D

Need to cook - Cullen skink, Stollen muffins, malt loaf, Mince pies.

Buy tree, decorate it and the house. Finish and deliver Xmas cards. Wrap presents - how do you wrap a light sabre?

Polish silver (my mother is visiting.:o) Clear and make up 2 bedrooms for visitors.

Maybe I should put on some Xmas music to get me going? Or would that be cruel:D

    Have a great day everyone.

Pressies are posted. Dogs are walked. Bed is made but not changed, I'll do it tomorrow along with the hoovering. Just having a few minutes peace and quiet before we are descended on.

Oh and the car has gone wrong. DH has just had to drop it off at the garage.

Oh absolutely - that goes without saying!! Mind you I think I may be OK as found that naughty Elf on the Shelf was actually being good for once and ironing one of J's shirts (with iron off of course) - clever little elf. S came bombing up the stairs to tell me the good news bless him ;)

Faceless thinking of you - I think a lot of us struggle with worry and it can be really crippling. I try to think can I do anything about what I am worrying about - if so then do it, but if not try to let it go. Easier said than done I know.

Haven't all the Flykids done well!

Natty bet you'll be so pleased when down to just 1 day a week therapy.

MrsMP sorry to hear about your Mum - it's hard when parents live a long way away isn't it.

Narco you've got a big list of jobs to do today as usual! Glad Mr N is good at flying to help out.

Valli happy bed stripping - you'll be glad of it tonight when you get into bed and snuggle the lovely fresh covers around you!

FurryBeastOz I mis-read your 'polish silver' as being 'Polish (as is the country) Silver' and wondered why you call your Mum that! Now of course I know what you mean :rotfl: Sounds like DH's do was a bit of a blast!

Honey Bear good luck with all your plans today and I hope you have a lovely meal out tonight.

Iona hope the essay writing goes well for you. Naughty Mr Iona for not sorting out DW etc ....

Very chilled here so far but I'm intending to jump in the shower and sort out the lounge plus put a load of washing on. Went out with a friend for coffee yesterday, got home and then worked solidly til 5.15 so arms and wrist feel a bit achy from typing all that time. See you later :)

ETA: Just done all my ironing before it got out of control - first time for everything!

  • Hi all

Lynne I know someone who fell out of bed recently and couldnt get up, her husband called an ambulance because he thought she had done some serious damage. Luckily she was just badly bruised. Hope you are OK.

Been to the big out of town shopping centre for a few odds and ends. Out tonight for a meal but its early so we shouldnt be late home. Does it make me really old to say that I am quite pleased about that? Had to pick DS up at 1am this morning then for some reason couldnt sleep. Mind you when one of them has been drinking I do listen out for them, its like having flippin toddlers again.

Going to shut my eyes for half an hour then have a bath I think. See you all tomorrow x
