    Evening!

Is it bedtime yet? Babysitting last night was hard going. Selfishly glad they are not coming for Xmas - it would not be a relaxing day for any of us... Not much sleep had, and today has been a haze of a very loud football party.

DS is playing in the final tomorrow morning- we have to be there at 9:30  then I think we all need to chill for a few hours.

Flying has been limited to laundry and keeping on top of the kitchen.

    Away with the fairies
  • Tree up, and decorated, finally. Another new string of lights purchased.
    Wreath made, other bits decorated.

No cleaning done. I need to hoover up all the needles from the tree. And polish - not my mother!

Cullen skink and malt loaf made. Remembered too late why I wasn't going to do smoked salmon and strangled eggs for breakfast. I ran out of eggs to do mince pies, stollen and chocolate brownies and then forgot to get them when I was out. Grrrrrr.

So, long list carried over to tomorrow. About to head for bed. DH is definitely flagging :D

Thanks for the kind thoughts peoples :)

Hand swollen like a balloon but it's the ribs that hurt the most  Can manage most things with only one hand but have to keep breathing :rotfl:

So not much done here. I karchered the windows and wiped round the kitchen bunkers, sink and bathroom sink. Then walked round a couple of shops supervising the shopping. DH was an angel - pushed and loaded the trolley and sorted the till procedure. He even suggested a ready-cooked chicken, prepped the veggies and WU.

Hugs, gws vibes, sticks and spoons all round as needed
Hope you all have a super Sunday

    In a freshly made bed.

  • strangled eggs for breakfast.

    Love this! :)

So - out last night. Had too much wine and too much food so now I feel ill. I definitely can't lecture the 18 year old if he lands home feeling rough. We weren't sure whether DS was coming home last night but I got a text at 3am saying "Mum I am alive" which unfortunately woke me and DH up and I couldnt get back to sleep.

Going to do the spreadsheets, work out a mealplan and start a shopping list for the final Christmas food shop. Beyond that I really dont think much is going to be achieved here today!
  • Morning all,

DD did superbly in her dance shows yesterday :A she just has a matinee today, then we can relax! Up since 5.30 with DS but, in fairness to him, he went to bed at 6.15 last night so I really cannot complain. And he slept through again, hurrah!

DW has been unloaded and WM is going. I'm in the mood to declutter today :D

YL - hope you feel better soon - my cure has always been an effervescent vitamin c and two bags of salt and vinegar crisps :o

My secret Santa gift arrived yesterday so that made me :)

Right, I need another :coffee: xx

Morning! Just had a cuppa in bed, lovely, now to start the day. Made a big effort earlier in the week to clear the clutter in the lounge/ dining room and hoover ready for decorating. Well, the decorating hasn't happened yet but hopefully today, and some presents need wrapping to give to work peeps tomorrow, so that should start me off and I'll get some extras done. Also made a big effort with the ironing - no chance of an empty basket, but only a few shirts in the pile now.
  • Morning all,

I'm going to be super amazing today.
Yesterday afternoon was spent in town getting the last few pressies. I was up late wrapping them. Just a few more to do tonight. So today's plan includes times, because I'm terrible for sitting reading or something when I should be doing stuff!

    So:

9:30 to 10:30 daily stuff, tidy round, hoover.
    10:30-10:45 have a brew.
10:45 to 12:30 paint final ceiling coat on bathroom.
    12:30-13:30 lunch
13:30-14:30 clean bedroom floor, sand any bits that need it.
    14:30-15:30 dog walk
15:30-16:30 layer of oil on bedroom floor
16:30 prep tea, have a rest, eat tea
    18:30 another layer on floor
19:30 phew! Sit down for a bit and put children to bed.
21:30 wrap the last few pressies while drinking wine. But not too much as the paid stuff is on Monday.

    Military precision!

    It will not work.

    But at least I'm trying.

    lynne take it steady.
YL a can of coke and some salty chips helps me when I have your current condition!

Morning all. I'm going to try to be amazing today too!

I had a lie in till 7.15 and so far I have fed the dogs and me, and done the ironing pile. I must:

    WUDUPA
    Water indoor plants
    Exercise
Change bedding and do any other washing that needs to be done
    Walk dogs
    Hoover/sweep/mop through

Then have a nice soak in the bath and get ready for our family Christmas dinner out tonight, the only chance most of us have to get together this year.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
