It's here. Finally. The last day of term. No more early mornings (well, here's hoping) nativity plays, Christmas parties, card writing for classmates, learning lines/songs, Christmas fairs and the like.
It is however, Christmas jumper day at school for Small and Tiny has his party with a visit from Santa at preschool this afternoon. Must remember to wrap a present and make the sandwiches to take.
Let's go girls!0 -
Good morning all

Thank you so much for your good wishes
it means an awful lot.
Will spend some happy time shuffling money later and paying off the debts we incurred to keep going in that time.
It's DD last day of term, DS has his little party at pre-school too. Then it's DD rehearsal for her dance show until 9pm (poor mite will be shattered), then three shows this weekend. DH has to work al weekend so it's been a flurry of sorting the logistics out for drop off/pick up of kids
Flying wise, I didn't steam the floors so that's a must do for today. Black bin is emptied on Monday so I need to get as much of the junk of the house and in there!
Have marvellous days all, and thank you so much for being my friends xxxxMFW

Morning all. Sounds like everyone is pleased its the end of term for most.
Dizzy and Bossy, you're right to be so proud of your little ones and yes it's best they behave outside the home and relax in it.
No flying for me this morning, which will mean catching up with the ironing at the weekend, as I have to start the paid stuff now.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Biscuit monster you are an :A
Your kitchen is going to be a DIY marvel, HB!
Good news on the dog bookings, LW.
Well done to good behaviour starlets Small and Master Moo :T:T
After shopping and putting all the food away yesterday afternoon I dusted the bookshelves in the LR and put up the Christmas cards - I always slip the backs of the cards between the books so that they are held firmly and can't fall off. Then I cooked a roast dinner which was straightforward but delicious - I even managed to get the crackling crunchy
We had a very pleasant evening with my friend, who insisted on catching the bus home, rather than have a lift, and left before 9.00 pm. We then spent an hour laughing over "Interview day is like Christmas for Claude."
Today we shall eat mainly leftovers, and I shall be concentrating on my essay. It is slowly beginning to write itself.
Hope everyone has a good day, especially the teachers _party_
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to anyone who needs them x0 -
Nice to read lots of good news from the last couple of days!! My flying has been a bit intermittent this week - I've had the most stressful week of my life I think. Starting to feel better now but it's going to take a few weeks for things to completely resolve so a bit of mild anxiety will be hanging around for a while yet! I lost over a kilo due to being unable to eat, so on the bright side I can eat a bit more at Christmas :rotfl:
Will try and catch up on flying at the weekend and will finish the Christmas shopping as well, just chocolates / alcohol to buy people now!0 -
Well done to all little fly people you have done your parents proud xxxx
Tooth has been taken out, GS arrives home from school, no 'hi kaz how are you' but 'can I look at the hole the dentist left when he took out your tooth' kids!!

Aww faceless I hope things pick up for you now xxx
More proud bossymum news - had a call from assistant principal this morning about DD relaying a message from her teacher about how fabulous she is, mature, kind, helpful, attentive and excelling in all subjects and so on. Especially good to hear given the assistant principal was the one who told me she was marking her down in certain areas at the end of reception year. Must have really stuck in her throat lol. I was very gracious of course but I've been chuckling to myself ever since heheh.
Mum needs an emergency babysitter tonight - gah - so I'm packing overnight bags as we may as well stay over. So I've sorted the piggies (whiffy!) and going to tidy as best I can as we need to leave straight after school...
DS won't be impressed! Oops!
Right, I'll get some bags together
