just got back from vegas and had a couple of hand pays in our groupe ending in paying 30% tax on the payouts. the casino employees said we could claim the tax back once were home?
has anyone any info on doing this as its being left to me to try and sort it out.

I've had hand pays but was not taxed on them. If you're a UK citizen you shouldn't be. You provide your ID and fill out the paperwork in the casino.

unfortunately we had to pay the tax. i was there on both occasions and our passports were given to the attendant who come back with their boss to pay up. one time in Harrahs and one time in the Linq. ive the white papers here with the info of win and details etc. we were told we had to pay and claim it back.
it seems very daunting to me as im no good at thing like this but im chosen as the best of the bunch to get things going.:(

this might be a way to keep RC balances from lapsing especially using aliexpress.com for 4RCs per dollar spend.
  • Hi everyone,

Looking to go to LA for a week in Sept. Just me and my partner. Looking for a hotel just of the Strip - maybe the Tuscany or the Westin? Any other suggestions?
Not big gamblers, but we do like our grub!

    Thanks

Tuscany is nice. There are a few eating places around there without going to the strip. We do happy hours at McCormick and Schmicks, Bahama Breeze, Gordon Biersch to name a few. Tuscan has a brew pub with a happy hour, but we haven't tried it. Marylins cafe is oknfor breakfast and do a good burger. They also have an Italian restaurant, but again, we haven't tried it.

Westin has gone down in recent years, just my opinion. It used to be ok, but is quite dead these days. That's just the casino area, haven't stayed there.

Thanks... Can someone post if they try this? I have points expiring at August and I wouldn't mind keeping them alive (even if I have no plans to return yet) :)

nvh - if your card goes into a machine with a dollar or two before then, your points will stay active.

On another note, has anyone seen the email from Stations about their new programme? *earn points on coin purchases only. :(

Well I'm afraid to say I've checked in online and packed ready to fly back to the UK Saturday afternoon.

Loved my stay in Vegas again. There have been a lot of changes since I've last been here eight years ago and still think I would like to return again next year.

I'll try and get some kind of report up when I get back and recovered from the jetlag. Does anybody enjoy the journey home? It always seems to take twice as long comng home....
