Anyone have experience of using a AAA membership offer for discounted room rates? There's an offer at the min for Aria on our dates for Sept that looks interesting but you need AAA membership.

Now AAA is just the US version of the AA (same owner) and I recall a head for points article a while back talking about using it for Hilton (I think) bookings. Just wondered if anyone had tried it for Vegas?

    Mlife offers..

I've got offers from all MGM resorts for between $75-$100 Freeplay $50-$100 F&B and 1 to 3 nights comp. Good for up to July.

As i'm not staying there this year I didn't check my account when the discussion came up a couple of pages back so not sure if they've just been loaded but might be worth a check for those waiting for offers.

Ah, no. I see it now when I click on the offer. Thanks. :) They're all part of one offer. Looks like I've got the same as you (I'm Pearl Tier).

Hi, two issues I've got now :o One is Excalibur! Now all I'm expecting is a Travelodge/Premier Inn in a castle, it will be myself and 9 year old son. I'm starting to read all sorts on Trip advisor and elsewhere, that the place is full of smoke and drunks. I've never gone into a hotel in Vegas where the smoke and drunks were so apparent you'd mention it. Even Circus Circus wasn't. However last year we didn't visit Excalibur so is it REALLY that bad? It's supposed to be a budget trip as we're all (other two children in tow) doing Orlando in August, so this was just supposed to be a cheapie Vegas trip for me and son after the chickenpox debacle last August :rotfl: But I don't want to be somewhere so smoky it'll make our eyes water and ruin our lungs.

Never had a problem walking through Excalibur, and certainly have never seen lots of drunk people or had a problem with ciggy smoke.
In fact the worst two places for smell and drunks was Wynn for the noise on a weekend 'cos of that nightclub under the hotel rooms (still loud 34 floors up, and lots of pig ignorant college students partying in their rooms) And the Riviera had a horrible, damp, musty smell to it that was thinly disguised by cig smoke. And that was just the room we stayed in, it travelled throughout the hotel/casino.
TBH, Excalibur seems to have some of the best slots - we've seen more folk sat at machines waiting for attendants to come because they've got themselves a handpay than anywhere else. Never happened to us in there though :( ...or anywhere else for that matter :o
BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j

I haven't been to Vegas now for about 6 years but have booked to go in March, read through the first pages of the thread and you will find all sorts of hints and tips.

If you don't mind playing the games the MyVEGAS apps have gained me a few rewards including two free nights at the Luxor. (have to pay the resort fees)

My best advice is to take comfy shoes you'll probably want to walk up and down the strip to see the sights. Fremont street is well worth an evening visit and the duce bus is a cheap way to get about.

Hope you have a great time.
