Sorry. Me again back with another question!
Ok. 6 flights. 6 hotels. 12 nights. Realistically, how much $$ should I have available on my ccard for all this pre-autorisation stuff? Seems a lot of hotels hold x amount on your card in case of damage etc, but some places seem to be daft amounts. Same with the car rental too.
Suggestions please?
Just worried that I'll have x amount pre authorised off my card and it's still unavailable when the next stop tries to pre authorise y amount and so on. Am I making any sense?!?Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

What is the average cost per night of the hotels?0 -
Very roughly, about £55. Hotel rooms have all been paid for up front. As has the car hire.Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

Just had an email to say Social Rewards is closing in March - darn it
Think we've all noticed that it's been dying a death for a while but I'm annoyed at myself that I've only quite recently picked it up again - we've got about $20 total but by earning an average of 15c each a day I was aiming for at least $60 before our next trip.
Such a shame, I loved Social Rewards - much better than My Vegas IMHO as it was just like having free cash to spend how we liked
Any idea how quickly points expire once you put them into your TR account? I'm sure it's in the T&C somewhere"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

(to clarify, 6 months of in-activity and they wipe your TR account - so if you have a trip in the next 6 months, then from the last date you use your TR card, there will be a 6 month period to finish using your points)0 -

Thank you - we're going in June so at least won't lose what we've already got"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

If you are not going for over 6 months, does anyone know if there is a way to create activity.0 -

Ceasars entertainment have a number of casinos in the UK (from their website) Empire, Sportsman, playboy, Manchester 235, Alea Nottingham and Glasgow, Rendezvou Southend and Brighton. You just need to sign up for their Player rewards card and earn points from play and/or food. Once you have earned points you can ask the casino to convert the points on your Player Rewards account to your Total rewards account. If you do this every six months it should keep your Total Rewards account active. I have had problems in the past with the time they took to do the conversion, so I would advise doing the conversion at least a month before the points are due to expire.0 -
Good to know. Thanks.0
