Been with BG for around 2years. DD has been approx £90.00 p month
heard somewhere that energy coms are earning interest with our money, so I re-checked my account. I was and have been in credit to the tune of £300-£400.So I figured I`ll have some of it back , £200.
they then told me my New DD would be £212.00 p month ??????
can someone explain to me how this works please?
I have always been in credit. I have always had my meter readings up to date so I assumed the £90.00 was the correct charge, and that i was in credit because my monthly payments were more than I had used. ???
Confused or what. Should I cancel my rebate or simply change supplier ?0 -
Will EE make ot difficult for me to get any money back that I'm owed?0

Just thought of something... If I've only given two meter readings, EE are just estimating my use. How do they figure out this estimation? What's it based on?0

A computer algorithm based on your meter readings and up to 70 years of historical data for the property held by the data collectors. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
So how did they come up with a predicted usage on my bill to be 81699.1
When the real amount on my meter shows 7812.40 -
Because it would appear you have given them duff info.
The old maxim applies with computers - garbage in, garbage out.
Your problem now is getting EE to accept proper readings as their computer will throw it out as being outside the figures it was expecting.
I may have missed it in your thread - when was the last time a meter reader took a reading ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Unfortunately I have no idea.0

Beside the amount it says E.
E means estimate.0
