I also tried several times to book rooms. I booked a 29£ one on October and I will be there and stay at the Hoxton. But, unfortunately, I also booked another 29£ one and i entered the wrong month... November the 29th instead of Octobre the 29th... I called the hotel and they told me they can't do anything. After a few talks, the lady told me I could eventually change the name on the reservation. Anyone interested ?

I would be intreasted if it is still availible?
    thanks

Last time i went we booked in October for a February Stay, they took the money from my CC account on 31st December .

I think its a bit like Travelodge where they can take the money anytime upto the day of the reservation.........

  • I would also buy a room to anyone who'd have double-booked on october the 29th...

My £1 charge showed on Egg Money yesterday debited on 5 Oct.
Stayed the night on 7 Oct. Couldn't sleep for some reason. But it was a good deal!
They only asked for my surname. Not even need any booking reference or IDs. Strange.

Well, I finally got through to the Hoxton. I stayed there in June for a quid and was very satisfied but am not so impressed with their customer service now...

I emailed them three times about the fact that I had accidentally booked two rooms for the same night (because of the fact that their booking system couldn't cope with demand and kept giving me error messages). I didn't get a reply and was getting increasingly concerned. I booked the room for my parents and I'm currently in Australia so tried email rather than spend a fortune on international calls.

They didn't reply or acknowledge any of the emails, so I bit the bullet and called them this evening.

I explained the situation, and she said "well both the bookings have now been charged to your card (29 and 1)". I politely asked if she could cancel and refund the 29 booking. She replied that all their bookings were non refundable. I said that I was aware of this, but as it was not my fault I didn't feel I should be charged, particularly as I was aware that many other people were in the same boat and had been allowed to cancel one room. She agreed to cancel.

I then asked a different question related to the rooms that I had previously asked in one of the emails, she said "oh yes, I am aware of that, I'm looking at the emails now".

I am so frustrated that they didn't even acknowledge my emails! Oh well, it's sorted now I guess.

There are actually less rooms for £1 than they say as i rung and asked what happened to the £1 rooms that are booked by mistake(like double clicking when website is messing you about and you end up booking 2).
I was told that in this case the rooms are released and no one gets them!! So i bet this has happened a fair bit so £1 rooms are even less than they state.Naughty, naughty!
