Just ran up and down stairs ten times..and i'm really out of breath and my legs hurt! I must be soooo unfit.
Anyway i'm going to prepare tea now. Chicken zorba, pilaff rice, salad & pitta (home made). All served with a dip of natural yoghurt.0 -
No , Princesstippytoes this isn't my thread!
Some of us over on the daily were chatting oneday about needing to loose weight and I said I'm going to start an Amazing Weightloss Campaign. It just spiralled out of control as these things tend to do! Everyone wanted to join in and so we just gave ourselves numbers! We've kind of defected over to this thread as we were becoming obsessed with talking about it on the daily and the "thinnies" felt we'd hijacked the thread! As I understand it anyone AT ALL can come on here and NO ONE has to join the FAWLC , it's supposed to be there to help people not upset them!:o
As I said before I didn't mean to put you on the list and I'm sorry , I just got muddled up with so many people wanting to come on board. ~ I'm a thick Frog as well as being a fat one!Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

I've taken to walking a mile a day and I think it's making some difference. It's funny how quickly a mile can go on a treadmill, but to actually walk it is looooong! LOLGetting there... A deal at a time. :T0

The neighbours must wonder whats going on -with me running up n down the stairs like a hippo in clogs....:rotfl:
Well i have done all the windows - inside n out, vaccumed right through and washed down all the kitchen cupboard doors.... sure beats going to the gym.... eughhhh... just the thought makes me icky....:o

Hi everyone!!
I've joined the lose weight thread on the I wanna board, and am doing Slimming world, so I guess I shouldn't be on here really...but I am on a very strict budget and doing all my cooking from scratch, so I hope nobody minds if I pop on here from time to time to pick up some tips and recipes
Hi ! I'm doing SW too, have lost almost 1 and a half stone with it so am well pleased! :j am also on a strict budget and the best thing I find is to have HM soups(made with chicken Bovril - free on SW)
good luck!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi everyone
I think I need to join this. I have been off work with a broken wrist for 5 weeks and have put nearly a stone on! Was already overweight. I am now 3 and a half stone heavier than I was 4 years ago and IT HAS TO GO!!!!
When I am at work I walk both ways, nearly 4 miles a day but.......I can't blame it all on the not walking, I keep making bread and its tooooooooo nice not to eat. So, next week, after I take it out of the BM i will slice it and freeze it.
Oh and can't run up and downstairs cos we live in a bungalow
Yesterday I made a big pot of soup, so had some for lunch, and will have another bowl for dinner tonight. Very naughty, didn't eat breakfast, I just can't face food till I have been up a few hours. Am trying to work out menu for tomorrow, OH does not eat anything even slightly spicy and we have SD here this weekend too so that cuts out even more stuff. Grrrrrrrr perhaps I will cook something [strike]really boring[/strike] nice and plain for them and something low fat and spicy for me.
I agree that it is portion size, I know I just eat too much. I'd like one of those plates that measure the portions, but they are expensive, maybe I could get some sort of paint and make my own! But then again there aint no height restrictions on them so I would probably cheat.:rotfl:
Like others have said, you know what you should eat/do but its the putting it into practice.
Also like others, I have tried SW, but it made me think too much about food As soon as I had finished one meal i was working out what I could have for the next!
We are going on holiday begining of November (6 weeks) and I would like to have lost at least half a stone by then.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
