frogga - it's who you are inside that counts. Those that are sniggering at you are obviously not nice people inside!!
What counts is that you want to do something about it. You know you can do it so just be determined to show them allworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Oo I love a good joke ~ "I don't know what is the difference between Spring Greens, greens and Vinegar greens?"
You told me Spring greens - the "greens" were cheaper than the "spring greens" but I didn't know the difference and which ones were the ones we used to have with vinegar on when we were younger!!!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Yeah that's why I asked on here
Just found this out... http://www.gaias-garden.co.uk/Articles/SusunWeed/herbexpert5.htmlAdding vinegar to your food actually helps build bones because it frees up minerals from the vegetables you eat and increases the ability of the stomach to digest minerals. Adding a splash of vinegar to cooked greens is a classic trick of old ladies who want to be spry and flexible when they're ancient old ladies. (Maybe your granny already taught you this?) In fact, a spoonful of vinegar on your broccoli or kale or dandelion greens increases the calcium you get by one-third. All by itself, apple cider vinegar is said to help build bones; when enriched with minerals from herbs, I think of it as better than calcium pills.
So mum was probably teaching us a good thing!!!:D

Hi All,
I sympathise with you Keiss about putting on the weight but I did that last week - went from 11 st 8 down to 11st 7 then up(!) to 11st 9 and finally at the weekly weigh in down to 11st 6. Just shows you shouldn't try going on the scales too often I suppose.
After a good start to the day I've suddenly turned really exhausted and may go and have a lie down. I managed a walk to the local shop for some of their delicious home baked bread earlier. It's a 25 minute round trip with the return trip being all uphill. We bought a scrumptious large 'baguette' type loaf but I only had one third of it, rather than half.
Breakfast: Museli with raisins and skimmed milk
Lunch: 1/3 baguette filled with mashed boiled egg and a banana.
Snacks: clementine
Dinner: I had planned pork chops, potatoes and onions, mixed veg and mushrooms but may not feel up to cooking if the sleep doesn't revive me.
We don't have an oven in our apartment, just a microwave and 2 rings so I am a bit limited in what I can cook sometimes.
I too would like to join in the Valentine's Day challenge, which should bring me to just under 11 stone by then. We have no scales so I shall have to rely on the ones in the Safeway in Gibraltar and hope they are reading the same as mine at home.Weight Loss Challenge 5/7/19 10st 6lbs

Have only just surfaced - woke up at 4am and literally coughed myself sick, and had raging headache......went back to bed at 6am and didn't get to work, but then slept until1pm! Probably should have given in earlier in the week, but there you go. So, no porridge for brekkie (hehheh!). One other thing the doc told me yesterday was to avoid all ready meals, even so-called "healthy" ones, and all shop bought sauces. Must admit I've never really looked at the sugar/fat/salt content of those. Anyway, haven't eated much (small amount of tomato soup plus wrap) as not feeling hungry.
Frogga - you know you can do it really, so get to it! I need you to be a shining example for this totally-lacking-in self-discipline fattie!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0
