Oh and I walked too as it stopped raining
So that makes lunchtime walks 4 times this week plus one very short walk on Weds (half hour lunch).
Feeling good about this walking lark - the bits of me I really dislike are my thighs, hips, bum bits so walking should be a good one for it all. Want to lose another 6/7 lbs I think and feeling like I should be able to do it - just debating whether it's possible in 4 weeks thoughworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Re gorgeous guys...my fave is Johhny Depp...yummmmm
Ewww - I don't like him at all. My current favourites are Jason Isaacs, Christopher Meloni (plays Elliot in Law & Order SVU), Rupert Penry-Jones (from Spooks) and my absolute favourite and has been for 20 years - John Cusack.Jane

Hi all!
Neglecting my work in favour of reading the thread before it becomes un-manageable!
Now, well done to all losers, including MRSM and MaisieM!
Don't worry Keiss, tomorrow is another day, we all pick up some weight sometimes and then lose it again (hopefully!).
Thanks to Frogga for all the nutritional info, very useful stuff!
Taplady, the problem I had with wartime rationing is that it does not even consider vegetarians. I know that if I had lived in wartime I would have made a fortune selling or exchanging all my bacon, meat and coffee vouchers! Do you follow it? How do you manage, as a veggie?
Women, a word of warning, Johnny Depp is spoken for, he is MINE! I have already fought my daughter about him, and WON! hehehe
Anyway, today's story:
Up very early, made breakfast for family, went to PO Box for work, then to my knitting class, but BUMMER! No teacher! You would think that the college would have called us, but NO! So the few of us who turned up went down to the local cafe, which makes amazing cakes, but I managed to stick to a pot of tea and NO CAKE! Well done me, even if I say so myself LOLOLOLOL!
Then back home, cooked some lunch, did some work, stopped to come and read the thread and here I am, a good 2 hours short of work deadline and still mucking about here in the forum! Will have to catch up on the weekend, one hour Saturday and one hour Sunday!
Foodwise:
Breakfast: 1 poached egg on 1/2 slice rye toast, 1 pear
Lunch: boiled brown rice with 1 tbsp olive oil and splash of soy sauce (will catch up with more fruit and veg during the rest of the day and at dinner).
Dinner (planned): not sure yet, got a red cabbage to use up and will have a rummage in the freezer for something easy and quick, if I hadn't had egg this morning I would have made mushroom omelette - hang on, as I write I remember that I have a packet of risotto rice: SORTED! Mushroom risotto and mix veg something or the other for side dish! Yippee!
Love to all

MRSM - I do my DHs hair and he has a grade zero! I like men without much hair, cant abide long hair on a man.
Caterina - I dont follow the wartime rationing but was interested in how she did it. I am not a strict veggie in that I eat fish and still like gravy eyc just dont eat the meat itself but as I'm new to it I may go serious eventually!:D
DH was watching something on tv last night about eating little lambs - couldn't watch it myself, makes me feel sick._pale_
I have had a lazy afternoon in front of the tv watching the food programme from channel 4 from last night, have resisted any fattening nibbles and had yoghurt and grapes:ADo what you love :happyhear0 -

Quick Kale pasta recipe (not a diet one if you want to use enough olive oil but it can be adapted if you do not mind a bit of a dry dish!):
Start cooking pasta (I like penne - quills - for this one, but any short pasta shapes will do:
Wash and chop kale finely, chop and fry a couple of cloves of garlic in olive oil, with some chili if you like spicy food, and if you eat fish a couple of fillets of anchovy, chopped or mashed, also go well in this dish. Add kale to other ingredients, stir well, let it sautee on low fire until tender, then turn the fire on high and add a glass of white wine, let it evaporate a bit.
Drain pasta and dress with kale mixture, top with grated pecorino cheese (parmesan ok if you cannot find pecorino).
Buon appetito!
