Evening ladies and gent, what a miserable day it's been weatherwise!
Have had a reasonably good day today i think:
Breakfast: Mango and a pint of water.
Dinner: hm veg soup and a HUGE salad. had a small glass of irn bru with it.
Tea: Salmon, cabbage, babycorn, cauliflower and 2 small baby potatoes and 2 pints of water.
Was kept really busy at work so had no time for snacks (although i drank a 500ml bottle of water throughout the day) but have an oatmeal and raisen cookie eyeing me up atm so i think i'll have that with some more water in a little while. Walked to work today, that's 20 minutes each way and avoided using the lift at all - work on the 4th floor so not that impressive but up until this week i used the lift everytime!
hello to all you oldiesand welcome to all the newbies! Sending *positive vibes* to you all x

Dinner I had 2 fried eggs, 2 waffles and a mountain of baked beans.. probably not the healthiest option but I forgot to take my purse out when I did the school pick up and we don't have much in!
tomorrow will be better I've got a piece of pig which I'm having with mash and veggies.
I saved a satsuma for later!.. am I redeemed?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Haven't popped in to see you for a couple of days but I'm still here. Haven't been doing too well snackwise but I've done better today so onwards and upwards.
Still catching up with what I've missed.

Evening everyone
Had my dinner... salad with potatoes and a bit of cheese.. yum yum and have been knitting since :T ....
Its official I AM getting a cold frame at the weekend :j ... i have soo many seeds its silly -but in my defence -my hubby was due out of the army june last year and we were moving home, where i was top of the list for an allotment that backed onto our street -so i had started getting organised...only now, here we are still in the army and in Germany
I have about 6 kinds of tomatoes, including yellow ones, pink ones, purple ones and stripey ones :T
6 kinds of carrotmind i get through loads -they don't normally get to a pan
oh and 10 kinds of lettuce -so all bodes well for the weight loss this summer :rotfl:
Dawnylou...its true frogga can be verrrrry fussybut she is lovely anyway -even when in a grump
Frogga -you should do really well where you are..when i was in ipswich i grew everything outside and it did really well...
Its a bit early for lots of things at the moment -but i start things off in little pots on the spare bedroom windowsill at the moment....
lettuce grows really well, once it gets going you just take off the outer leaves as you want them and leave the rest growing.... you can do it quite a few times before you are just left with the heart bit.
raddishes and carrots grow easily too.. with carrots they like stone free soil if possible.. i grow in tubs... but all that will happen if your carrot hits a stone is it will grow 2 "legs" and be a bit of an odd shape but it doesn't really matter..
I bet the tadpoles will love growing stuff too.. especially the quicker stuff...
Cheerfulness... if you get any supermarket tomatoes you like... use the seeds out of them to grow your own -at least you will know what they are going to taste of and they are free
Im having a struggle at the moment as im on here, x stitching, knitting, growing veg, so i need to work out a rota i think -to fit it all in  .... will have to work something out me thinks
well i blitzed hubbies soup and it has made enough for 3 flasks :T
so that gammon has more than done its share... we have had a meal of sandwiches and a salad off of it, i have sliced the rest up nice and thin and frozen it into meal sized portions (if it stayed in the fridge i would eat it:o ) so i have enough for 4 more salads off of it and the chunky bits are going to make either a pasta salad or when i get bits of chicken left off of the roast i will turn it into chicken n ham pie
so in total we have got 7 meals for 2 off of it and 3 meals of soup :rotfl: and it only weighed a kilo... so the meat has cost 15p a serving - and the soup free:D god that sounds tighter than a ducks doo daa... but there is plenty:D
well folks i had better get off and have a quick peek on the other threads -would hate to miss something..and will pop back later...
keep up the good work folks-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi All.
Well in opposition to the miserable mood prevailing today, I am feeling great as my son and his girlfriend announced their engagement last night. They are planning a November wedding - very low key using the local village church and then probably a homemade buffet at the village hall. I am already feeling very excited.
Foodwise I've had a good day. I had cereal for breakfast as usual but only a tangerine for lunch as I was too busy sharing my news with various friends and relatives. This evening was minced beef with rice, peas and mushrooms and broccoli. Unfortunately, I had slightly too much of everything to use up and had some leftovers. As the freezer is now off ready for our trip to Spain tomorrow I had to throw it away - which really felt terrible as I am well known for using up every last bit of any leftovers normally. I've 2 more tangerines to use up and Sunday's chicken remainders are already made into sandwiches for tomorrow. They're in a sealed box outside the back door in lieu of a fridge so I mustn't forget them.
Hope everyone cheers up soon.
Rose
PS - Of course I've now got a really great incentive for getting off all that weight. Can't appear as a dumpling in the wedding pictures can I?Weight Loss Challenge 5/7/19 10st 6lbs

I have lurked for a while and have been slowing losing a bit and I am pleased to say that I have lost even over Christmas keeping to my OS ways.
I was surfing the web the other night and stubbled across this. No idea if it is true, but basically it says that you can lose weight by eating the same but ditching the blankets or jumpers or turning down the heating which is very OS. Which makes sense, unsure of the maths though.

Think I might give it ago.
You will have to let me know if you think it is a load of rubbish or not??

Rosewood - what exciting news for you. I love homemade buffet catering, too. Had it at my own wedding.
Didn't know that about the tomato seeds, MrsMc. I could have my cake and eat it then by taking some free from the fridge and then buying the yellow seeds. Will look lovely on my healthy salads this year.
Made a HM veg soup for lunch but opted instead for egg mayo sarnies as requested by a very overwrought friend who's caring for a DH with Parkinsons. I realised how easy my life is in comparison. Won't be whinging about my knees again any time soon.
Tonight the soup has had some of the meat from a huge turkey my mum had added to it, some aduki and harricot beans and a few dumplings. Had a little for tea but will freeze most of it in a mo for future meals. Nice warm tum now.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Well stuck to my plan for the majority of today although had oatcakes instead of fruit and fibre for brekkie and had a cereal bar for snack in the afternoon.
so tomorrow I am planning
Breakfast: Fruit and fibre
snack: satsuma
lunch: home made bread and cheese
snack: raisen bar
dinner: fish, chips and peas (have it all in the freezer not from a chippie)
busy day exercise wise as I am planning to gut the house from top to bottom as a post Xmas clear up so that should burn a few cals.
Have also decided to make Friday mornings my weigh in as that way I have a week to make up for any indulgencies at the weekend and if i have a good weigh in I may be less tempted to be naughty at the weekend.0 -
