Afternoon all,
Think that it is the wind which is causing my knees to hurt so much...the weight is of course nowhere in the picture.
Good on you Mrs MC with being so ahead with your veggies...I haven't done anything yet, really want to get on with things early so that there will be nothing drastic to be done while I am in Australia May/June...will really have to plan holidays better from now on, but can't go at any other time this year.
Today I have eaten a tuna sandwich made with one slice of bread...no spread, cup of coffee, half a beetroot and half a banana. Dinner will be bacon, read cabbage, carrot and mash and some water. If I am hungry later on I think that there is some soup from yesterday or maybe some dried fruit.
Frogga...think about yourself a little...two and a half hours of terrible commuting is not on, so I think that the idea to have one car and ferry Mr Tadpole to work if necessary is a good solution...if you can afford the normal repayments stay with that and get a jar or whatever and try to put any change you have into it at the end of each month, you will then be working towards overpaying your debts without making yourself totally miserable in the process, every extra £1 you can save is something off that debt. Ditch your car when the mot is due, it may not be nice getting out of bed to leave Mr T to work at 3 in the morning, if he has proper wet weather gear the mornings will be few and far between.
Congratulations to all of you who are doing so well, I am still finding it too easy to just eat all the stuff we have...the cake is in the freezer!

Mmm beetroot. Anyone got any low fat suggestions for a pack of cooked (not pickled) beetroot? Used to do a nice red flannel hash but a dodgy cheap tin of corn beef has put me off for life
Was going to do something interesting with them but can't remember what and can't find the recipeworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Don't like Beetroot it's yuck!;)
Very sensible suggestiond Gran , Thanks xx:A
Right, I'm not in a mood anymore MrsM as it was too much like hard work!I want to grow some veggies this year, but never done it before. I'm gonna put them in the flower beds along with the perennials!
What shall I do first, and am I supposed to be doing it now?

Newlywed...could you do the hash without the corned beef...might make a nice veggie addition ? I had a similar pack that I bought before Christmas, vacuum packed so ok, I just covered it and heated it in the oven, I like it un-pickled sometimes, my late mil used to serve it hot with white sauce and it was lovely. Frogga, what do you mean 'yuck', it is wonderful!

Good afternon, slimmers!
Dawnylou, I hope that you will feel better about yourself, please love yourself as the kind and wonderful human being you are, regardless of size and what you ate!
Breakfast: 2/3 slice of rye bread with pumpkin seed butter and 1 tsp HM Marmalade
Break: 1 choc digestive (awwww this is a bummer, was at a woodworking class I have just started, everyone was having tea and bikky and I just could not resist. Not the end of the world, but it means I cannot put as much oil on my dinner veg!).
Lunch: boiled brown rice with broccoli, chili and pecorino cheese.
Snack - am about to go and get it: soya yoghurt with apple and kiwi chopped in it, 2 dried apricots (for iron content).
Dinner: will be some sort of quick and easy veg soup, as I am meeting DH in Greenwich to go and watch The Kite Runner at 6:30pm, so I need to have eaten something quick before that or I shall end up buying an ice cream at the cinema!
Good rest of the day, all,
Love
Caterina
Unfortunately I don't think I will ever be able to. But thank you for the kind words
I am never actually bothered by cinema snacks! Guess thats a good thing, and it means I save money too! lol
Enjoy your film xDream of being mortgage free....

I love beetroot, addicted in fact, but no one tells you that if you eat a load it turns your pee red. Had a very stressful morning after pigging on a panful.
I love growing veg, too and beetroot is really pretty in the borders. Not much point if its 'yuck' Frogga, unless you can swap it with a neighbour for something you really like. On Christine's Garden she gets apple pie from hers.(okay so not so healthy)
Got all my seeds for summer bar my toms, can't decide between red or yellow this year. Oh decisions, decisions. Can highly recommend T&M rainbow radishes. The cream coloured ones were so sweet and juicy. Can't be doing with the peppery, hot ones that make your eyes water.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Evening ladies:j
Doing ok so far. I had a cereal bar at afternoon break and have just had Cauldron sausages, mash and stirfried leeks and sprouts. I might have a couple of biscuits later on, I did this last night and I think because I'd planned it, I wasn't tempted to pig out and eat the packet
Still feeling a bit rough, pills have worn off now and I don't want to take anymore in case they keep me awake tonight. I did go for a swim at lunchtime and have walked home from the station so have had some exercise.:D
OH is still in my bad books, he's quite obviously done nothing except read today:mad:
See you tomorrow folks :A0
