    Hello All! :D

    Starting in earnest today. Had porridge for breakfast, HM veggie soup for lunch (would normally have thrown away all the last bits of veg :eek: ). I'm having salmon, jacket potato, cabbage and carrots for dinner. Not even feeling hungry (it is only day 1 though ;) )

    Can anyone help me regarding low fat oil sprays. I know you can buy them, but they are expensive. I just use a teaspoon (or two!) of oil in the pan . Can you refill the shop-bought light oil things with oil and water or would that not work at all?! :confused: I have half a bottle of out of date spray in the cupboard that I was about to throw out, and thought maybe an expert Old Styler would point me in the right direction.

    Hi all...glad you're home safely Mrs MC, my little lot are off to Holland in the morning at 6am....ferry Dublin to Holyhead, road to Dover, ferry to Dunkirk, road to Uithoorn, eta 1am Friday...hoping that the ice/snow etc misses out England to-morrow, probably silly way to travel at this time of year.

    Congratulations on your loss Taplady

    Today I have eaten:
    B..porridge with honey and milk;
    L. slice of bread and mayonnaise ( DGS1 leftover!);
    D. Beef stew with dumplings...not huge portion but then had 3 chocs for pudding, tea.

    Happy eating

  • Glad you got safely home, MrsM. I love that cosy feeling when you walk in your home after being away and shove the kettle on. :)

    I've eaten really sensibly today but for 3 slices of buttered bara brith. :mad: It follows me everywhere and it just won't go away. How can anything last this long?
    It's got me tooing and throing backwards and forwards to the cake tin, resisting one min only to cave the next. :mad: :mad: :mad:

    In a prevous life at this stage I would have squirted the who thing with washing up liquid so that the torture was over, but that's not very OS. :o
    Anyway, I've decided to shove it in the freezer in the outhouse. If I drop it in the bottom I know I can't reach it without someones help, and seeing as I live with 3 males help isn't instantly forthcoming, so it'll be safe as houses there. :rolleyes:

    So that's settled. Thank bloomin' goodness. I might sleep now.

    I hope you're all surviving the evenings munchies successfully.

    Hi Guys...is it the cold weather that is causing us all to head for the stock pots----I made a chicken & veg soup for our evening meal:D I enjoyed it; it came up really thick cuz I put 3 spuds along with green pepper, celery, bit of swede & a leek into the stock I made yesterday. The offspring had chunks off a french stick loaf & I had a sliver about an inch wide:p Pup's opinion of my soup was much better, but then he had sweet potato in place of ordinary tatties & the leek.

    There's a new thing on Mr T's healthy club about food diaries etc...anyone else had a look?

    Hi everyone,

    I weighed in today. I thought I was about 16st, I wasn't far out...15st 12lb. TOTM due, so not helpful.

    Felt hungry today, but I think I ate quite well...

    BREAKFAST: 2 weetabix with semi-skimmed milk & glass of apple juice.

    LUNCH: Sandwich made with leftover roast beef chopped up & a plum with a cup of tea.

    DINNER: Bubble & squeak made with leftover mash, sprouts & onion, small gammon steak, lettuce, tomato, cucumber & onion. A pint of NAS squash.

    EVENING: Cup tea & slice toast.

    Got my shopping delivered today with loads of nice healthy stuff. Tomorrow I'm going to make a big pot of h/m carrot & lentil soup; DS and me will have it for lunch for the next day or 2 & some for freezer. DH & DD don't really like it.

    Hello everyone. I'm back home now and everything will be back to usual as of tomorrow so I'll be dragging myself back on the wagon with y'all.

    I've been awful the last few days. Chip shops, drinking and then hangover food :o Will be glad just to get back to normal. I've had a lovely christmas and new year tho so not complaining.

    Frogga - What you said about the mouse made me chuckle. Earlier my sister was telling me how someone left the lid of the work tin of chocolates last night and when she got in this morning the mice had been in there (she works on a livery yard). So she picked out the chocolates, tipped the mouse droppings out of the tin and put the chocolates back before proceeding to eat the nibbled ones herself so noone would ever know!!!:rotfl:

    Hello Everyone :beer:
    I know some of you from the FLYing thread but thought I'd join in here as well.
    I had a baby back in September and have been half heartedly trying to shift the baby weight since then, and have done not great - well 7 lbs so far in a bout 2 months ......

    Have got a good 3 stone to go (pregnancy was yet again a license to eat) and now that Christmas is over I am going to try and do it properly. I go for weigh ins on a Thursday and am hoping to try and get there tomorrow, but it depends how the timing goes in the morning with the kids still off school.

    So what's the format - do we just post stuff about recipes, what we ate, what we plan to eat etc ? Is there anywhere that weight loss is recorded etc ? Tomorrow evening I'll try and read a bit more of the posts.
