    will add some recipes on tomorrow, got a great lentil curry that tastes lovely and real easy to make.

    i had today:

    lunch: baked tattie with salad

    tea: mince with loads of veg to bulk it all out:D

    Tomorrow i am getting the sc out and maybe do chicken or sausages in it.

    really need to get to grips with exercise though:o

    I had low sugar/salt beans on granary toast (no butter) for my tea as OH is working late and I didn't get home til late.

    Tomorrow we are going to have Chicken Zorba with pitta and salad because it will satisfy the 'takeaway' craving I get some Fridays :D

    We are having chicken zorba with pitta salad & pilaf rice & natural yogurt as well, what a co-incidence.

    I fry the chicken in the marinade only (no oil) then add a little water as the juice disappears....yum yum yum!

    Shame my first healthy eating thread has been closed as my two week meal plan was on it, never mind at least its all in one place now.

  • ok found recipe:

    lentil curry - serves 4 - 306 cals per portion

    8oz onion, chopped
    6oz carrot, chopped
    2 sticks celery
    4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    4 tsp curry powder
    8tsp low fat spread
    4 tsp flour
    12oz tomatoes, skinned and chopped
    seasoning
    1 and 1/4lbs cooked lentils, 8oz uncooked
    8oz hot, cooked long grain rice(3oz uncooked)

    1.Saute onion, carrot, celery and garlic in marg til tender.

    2.Add curry and flour and cook stirring for 2 minutes, add tomatoes and seasoning( you could add in lettuce/lemon juice if you wish)

    3.Bring gently to boil and simmer for 10 mins, serve at once with the rice.

    Chicken Zorba:

    Diced chicken marinated in the juice of 2 lemons, 1 tsp cumin, half tsp of turmeric, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp mint for approx half an hour.

    Fry ( i dry fry) until chicken is cooked & serve with pitta, salad, houmous or yogurt, rice etc

    I make pilaff rice to go with it too...lovely

    Hello everyone:D

    beemuzed - im obese...and i will admit to it...."my name is mrsmcawber and im obese":D ..there you go :rotfl:

    I have lost 1st2lb in the last 5 weeks, simply by cooking good old fashioned meals, eating sensible portions and cleaning OS.... no specific exercise so far... it makes me hungrier :rotfl: - i can't be the only one :p

    This will be great for swapping recipes... i have heaps to share....

    im already a member of froggas amaing weight loss campaign, but i can do that on here.....even more support n tips :T

    Well its my weigh in tomorrow.... so hopefully will hav some good news to start us all off:D ....

    Just want to say "hello" to all and good luck too :T
