Yeah on the inverter there is an earth.
I have to say though, at 48v... can't really see the need for an earth.
Certainly 3 years for me with batts and I think I used one for my first install only.
If you had put 4 car batteries in series there would be no earth, so... yeah.West central Scotland

Ok I apologise if this is a dump question (waits for replies of "yes this is a dumb question") but with my setup and the Luxpower ACS 3.6 inverter I get clipping from my solar array which want to go a lot higher than the 3.5 it tops out at in fact I would think it can go up to at least 5.40 which is nearly 2kWh of power that im missing each sunny. Is there an inverter out there that will allow me to benefit from my full solar array but also limit the grid dumping to only 3.6 which is why I think the inverter has that limit ? Id rather not dump anything to the grid and just store it all in battery and my hot water tank. it seems such a waste that i am losing the potential of the full array (another 35+% or power). ideas suggestions welcome.——-

Interesting could you share photos and is there a daily real-time data collection available via remote ?——-

Hi guys, been interested in Battery Storage for my Solar PV system for a long time and been getting excited as the install prices gradually fall....
I`ve now had a quote from Greener Energy Group who have offered a 5 Kwh battery and inverter for £5800. Im assuming this seems slightly expensive for the amount of storage I`d actually be getting? They offer an interest free loan 0% for up to £6k for us living in Scotland.
I`ve asked them to revise the quote for x2 of these batteries, any thoughts?
I`m really not clued up enough on the in`s and out`s of storage to make a proper informed decision as it stands, TIA.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0
