Going for a walk in the woods shortly looking for pinecones to spray silver for decorations. Also will take gloves and secateurs to bring home some holy and ivy

Ooh, great idea! Have the pine cones definitely fallen yet? I haven't spotted any here but maybe ours don't have cones. I could take a trip back to my old station at the weekend as there were always loads there.

Glad you are feeling better today Fat VonD - what a nightmare day :(
Horrible, damp, foggy day today, and I had an early dentist's appointment in the next town. Traffic was a nightmare, and I only just made it on time. And I need a filling :(
Anyway, been to the post office with today's ebay offerings, loving the Drop and Go service that enables me to bypass the huge queues and just leave my parcels at the end of the counter with the paperwork. I do get some dirty looks when I walk past everyone though :rotfl:

    Also done:
Walked dog early, in the dark and fog. He wasn't impressed and neither was I!
Popped into Waitrose for bread flour, I like their seeded ones :) Also bought scourers. All glamour here :rotfl:

    Still to do:
Roasted veg with chicken legs for dinner - didn't get round to it yesterday, had jacket potatoes, tuna mayo and salad instead. Must cook the chicken today though!
List some more things on ebay if it is light enough to do the photos
Make OH do the second dog walk :D He went off early this morning to play golf, but couldn't due to the fog (?) and spent the morning in the club house. The exercise will therefore do him good :rotfl:

Right, better find some lunch - at the moment I really like bread, cheese and the French bean chutney I made back in the summer. It will be some such oddments anyway!

Dawn I had a filling come out the other day. It is my only one. So far it's not bothering me...

Determined you sound very productive today! Swimming is one of those things I am doing second child differently if you know what I mean. We've tried DD with it a couple of times and she doesn't like it too much. I find it boring sitting in the baby pool getting cold whilst the others have fun in the big pool. So I haven't bothered for a while. With DS we took him loads as a baby and had him swimming independently by 3. Swimming lessons etc. Now he swims weekly with school we dont bother as much. Poor 2nd children ;)

Carrie Hope you get the work stress sorted very soon.

I'm taking HR's advice and planning some sick leave (how weird does that sound?!). I need to finish this one project first but I should be done tomorrow.

Good to hear that work are being supportive CLF.

Bob/Dnms, I too hated being in the baby pool getting cold!

I've just got the hallway trimmed up and brought down the tree for our sitting room, but am now procrastinating! Need to get a wriggle on otherwise it will get put off until tomorrow when I am already busy enough! Right that's it, I'm not allowing myself back on here until its done!

They have literally just stopped free swimming for under 18s in our borough. I nearly fainted when we visited a fancy pool in the summer and it was £18 for the four of us to get in. It had various flumes etc but DD hated it and I ended up getting out very early so felt very ripped off. We live on an island for goodness sake you'd hope the government would want 100% of kids to be able to swim and so keep subbing it.

God have just had another irritating situation crop up which really isn't my fault but will probably lose me the £200 I was mentioning yesterday. Can't say too much but in a nutshell someone thought I'd agreed to meet them when I hadn't. And they seemed very hacked off about a wasted trip. It has literally been 3 days in a row of feeling happy and that things were going really well then major stress or in this case annoyance.

Oh sorry to hear that Bob, I couldn't do what you do, my nerves would be shot. Really hope that the booking doesn't fall through.

Well the tree is up in our sitting room, I didn't enjoy trimming up this year but now that its up it does look pretty. Our tree is positioned next to my black high gloss wall units on one side and a couple of long mirrors behind, so the flickering lights are bouncing everywhere which is nice :)
    Other small things
    * Tea was last nights curry on a jacket spud, it was lovely and I was so glad that with everything else this evening I was just able to reheat it. No waste :)
    * Two baths from one lot of water, also continuing use up of lotions and potions. :)
    * Left hair to dry naturally :)
