  • No 44 reporting in. I saved £750 this month. £500 RS, and £250 SS.
    So that is £7,100 towards my target of £7,500. I am concerned some of it is rubber savings and will be bouncing out again soon but decided the best way to deal with that was ring fence it now!

    #9 Reporting for the Month of September positive balance of £1599 making a total of £11,119.65 YTD I must say given that I made a short vacation trip to Paris last week, I am glad it didn't put too much of a dent to my savings. Frugal travel!

    I don't think I am doing much better compared to last year at the same stage and I don't think I am going to reach the same heights as last year but the good thing is I am still in the positive. Maybe I should put in a few extra shifts to make up the shortfall.

    Hope everyone have a good October!

    No 121 reporting in with £583.45 this month. Things are looking better but I know I won't reach my target this year. It's my first year doing this so I've learned along the way.

    Reporting £1144.79 for August (spreadsheet updated). I'm very happy with this. Had a small pay rise which I'm thinking to use to either overpay my mortgage or pay extra into my pension. Decisions, decisions.

    Keep up the good work everyone.

    Have managed to save £1201 for September, bringing really close to my target. However, I have a very large credit card bill coming in October so know I will be dipping into my savings to pay for it. But with 3 months left off the year I think I will be okay.

    Hi All,

    Thought I was going to have a really good month but then ended up buying my husband's 60th birthday present for next year - a holiday. Plus had to pay for the final installment of our holiday later on in the year.
    So no increase in savings for me. £0
    Have said to hubby that have spent a lot of money on holidays recently - which I do not regret one bit - got to do it why we are young enough to do it (and the insurance isn't too expensive). But after this holiday and his birthday, I now need to get my head down and save again.
    The last three months of the year will be better.

  • Woohoooooo!!!

    #129 declaring £440.95 for October and so I have reached my target.

    Again, managed to put aside £50 for Christmas in there.

    :dance::dance::dance::dance:

    I'm going to carry on saving until the end of the year and see where I can get to.
