Can we change our target? I've almost reached my £9k one, I was too chicken to go for £12k in the first place!Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0

Sorry it's a bit of a late update £200 for August. The end of the year will be one expense after another, but I'm mindful that i dont want to waste money.
It's the dreaded dentist next week. Plus two big Birthdays coming up.
Next year I'm going to have a chat with family members too see if we can all reduce birthday costs.

Cant believe we're nearly through September now! Time for an update
#73 with another £500 OP please SF. Taking total to £8,500.
Side note:
We have a tough month ahead as husband is finally having his heart surgery (in his early 30's but its required), he will need to have over a week off work so we will lose approx £800 in Oct. Im SO thankful to this forum and SF as we actually have the savings to accommodate this, i couldn't imagine how we would of managed last year with zero in the bank. Thank you to you all for your motivation and support!

Well that was an eyewateringly expensive couple of trips!
Had a really good time, but definitely know that my mum and I have very different ideas about what comprises acceptable accommodation. Will work everything out later this week, but am mentally processing the approximately £800 for 11 days first (nothing pre-booked, paid or planned).
On a much more positive note, just received my final payslip from my previous job and will only receive £215 net less than I did in a regular month (of course the pension contributions and student loan repayment are smaller, but still). Not bad for 1 day's work!
Should get a week's pay from the new job too which means I can aim to actually save in October and not break even like I'd planned. Now off to buy a few more bits and pieces for the new gig (more spending!)Save 12K in 2018 #20 - £20,890/£18,000 (116%) November £1950
