Logical solution would be to take out 0% balance transfer and purchases credit cards?
Those 0% balance transfer or purchases credit cards are still debt, and have to be paid off eventually..... or am I missing something?I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0 -

Managed to keep up January's momentum which I'm really pleased about, plus I have started to think about buying a house (ultimately what I've been saving for) which is pushing me even more!!
I'll find out my annual bonus in March and will get paid as part of March's paycheck, fingers crossed its good!
Well done all, some great positive vibes coming from this thread.

Posted my S&S ISA Transfer form yesterday, moving to AJ Bell YouInvest. I know they're not the cheapest, but they have recently improved their regular/dividend re-investment services which now satisfy my requirements that previously only HL could do. Fingers crossed it goes through smoothly, and once its all moved to YouInvest I will probably be contributing more as I make the most of its flexible regular investment service!

February update and also submitting on the update form. Unfortunately I'm reporting a negative figure of -£18.67
This was due to an unexpected solicitors fee of over £800plus I booked flights to New York for Easter
I think it make more sense not to draw down my equity release loan until I need the bulk of the money (or until the last draw down date, which ever comes first) as I can't earn interest at a high enough rate in savings to cover the interest being added to it, so until the premium is due I will be dipping into my savings (and cash reserves). Hopefully next month will be positive.
Very happy to report savings of £6341.60 for March! Although the temptation to spend is great, especially as it's my birthday today. The reason for the large amount is because my lease extension is nearing completion so I have drawn down my equity release loan and recouped all that I've paid out in the last 6 months.
Well done to everyone, no matter how big or small the amount, it all adds up.Save 12k in 2017 #78 £15,500/15,000 (103.3%)0 -
Hi all, no 075 checking in with March's total. Managed to save £1,324.16 during March, which I'm pleased with. April is going to be a struggle though with a very expensive hen do to pay for plus a holiday.
Over 48k away from my 100k target which makes me feel a little disheartened as that a really long way to go, it's taken me 7 years to save what I have so far so 48k feels like a lifetime away, I also don't want to be slaving away at a job I don't like for years on end just to reach it...

no 121 reporting in only £295 saved for March more than I expected with daughters wedding last weekend and that's after I paid the credit card bill. Hope to do better for the rest of the year and catch up a bit. Well done to everyone. It is the job that is never started that takes the longest to finish. Just got some good news about a pay rise as well so will hopefully be able to put a bit more away (or finally consider a new car... decisions!).
