Current accounts pay better interest than savings at the mo, but you are limited how much you can save and some require you to pay in so much a month (though you can take it out straight after !I have a couple of Christmas money gifts that I want to pay into a new savings account. OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

Many thanks for the information on TSB. As a new customer I think I should qualify for the higher rate and say Wentthedaywell I can set up a standing order to pay £500 in and then straight out again. I have a TSB near me - so I can pop in and check. Many thanks.0
