  • Hello, very non-techno person here. I have gone to that last site and it says for microsoft windows, so presumably not good for me with an apple.

Is skype the only one currently compatable with apple? Any thoughts for a non teccy on what is best. I'm reading up but don't fully understand all the techno stuff yet. Also please which headphones from Panasonic did Mr Apple mac buy, there were three sorts on that forwarded page so I got bamboozled before I began.

Would appreciate any guidance please.

Even with two posts, it doesn't alter the fact many people on here have been using VoIP Stunt for a number of weeks now - since launch.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

The VOIPStunt and VOIPBuster page look exactly the same. Are they the same product?

VoIp Stunt, VoIP Buster, VoIp Cheap, SIP Discount and Net Appel.fr are all the same company.

  • I've been using voipcheap for a while and i want to be able to move around the house while speaking. Does anyone know of a decent quality cordless headset that will work (through walls, ceilings etc.) for about 30-40 pounds? Can i use any bluetooth dongle and earpiece or do they have to be compatible with internet telephony. Make and models appreciated!

I have been using VOIPCheap for a few weeks......If you fund the account with £5.00 you do not get cut off after 60 secs.

I also set up voipcheap a few days ago. Minimum spend is now £10. Obtained an Voipcheap incoming number with a Reading prefix.

The major annoyance is that once plugged into a usb port, the usb phone takes over all sounds including Windows sounds. Would be nice if it only occupied the sound while in use, then could leave it plugged in. But the call quality is fine.

I just want to say thank you for letting me know about Voipstunt. I live in Italy and usually these things don't work here (although I do get Skype) and it is great as now I can ring England and USA (brother lives there) for free.

    Thanks again.

Doesn't work with an ATA I'm afraid, only their own software. Their sister services voipbuster.com and sipdiscount.com however do work with an ATA.

SIPDiscount is the one I use with my LinkSys PAP2 ATA, as that offers free calls to the UK in addition too several other destinations.
BexTech, you say that VOIP Cheap doesn't work with an ATA, but only their OWN Software? What do you mean?
You have to have Voice Cheap's Software in order to make the calls.
I have been using Voice Cheap for about a year, with a Headset, prior to that I used other services, since about 1999 (dialpad.com etc). However, I recently purchased a Zoom X5v Modem/Router and I've been unable to configure it with Voice Cheap and a DECT Cordless Phone. I've tried all different SIP settings. I'd very much appreciate it if anyone who is using, or knows someone, the above-mentioned Modem
would, please, let me know the Settings for Voice Cheap? Thank you. I received a message to-day on my Computer when I connected and I don't know whether it's anything to do with Voice Cheap - UNABLE TO START DRIVER FOR HPHpm 11.ex (HPHpm 11.exe). I don't know whether it's anything to do with Voice Cheap, because yesterday I also tried using it with SIP DISCOUNT?

I am trying to use sipgate to access my BT answerphone when I'm away from home (using a PC with Windows XP). The line connects fine and I receive my recorded Outgoing Message on my home answerphone. I then press the required asterisk button on my Sipgate X-Lite as my recorded message is being played and I am asked for my BT answerphone security code for the answerphone. I enter this but my answerphone answers saying "wrong security code".

When I repeat this procedure using my mobile phone, I have no problems and I can listen to any messages left on my answerphone.

Does anybody else have this problem with sipgate or can anybody suggest a resolution to this problem. I would obviously prefer to use the cheaper sipgate to my mobile if at all possible.
