Dogs will be getting a new bed each. The boy will get some new tennis balls and the girl a new cuddly toy.
The cats will get some new toys, new bowls and food mats and some special treatsFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
On Christmas morning, Miss Leigh Terrier will have a lovely walk along the river Yare wearing her finest Christmas dress (weather permitting) and I will be wearing my santa hat. Then I will return to the boat to start cooking Christmas dinner which Miss L will have a little bit of. At 11 3/4, she no longer does much playing, although she still loves chasing her treat ball around the room, the one which dispenses treats through the holes.“And all shall be well. Went Christmas shopping yesterday
Got a pair of shoes for dgd
And two fluffy mice, a cat collar and a remote controlled spinning thing with feathers on it for Arthur
He's not impressed with the collar and had it off in seconds
He's also not impressed with the bed we bought him Saturday
So now I've three beds all going to the charity shop0 -

Got MIA one of these today for Xmas
Absolute bargain - SNACKY MOUSE basically FREE :j :T
Turning the base adjusts the size of and how many of the 3 holes the Dreamies will come out of and how easily.

Collected the "Babble Ball "from Wilco yesterday- it had to be ordered online.
The jury isn't out- it was a resounding 'NO'!!
He listened to it with ears cocked and then ran off.
She pushed it with her paw a few times and then howled it at.
Since then... it has been ignored, except when it gets under their feet when racing to bark at the front door.
Will probably now try to sell it on (cut price) as it is only 24 hours old!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I've just looked up "babble ball" and Miss Leigh Terrier would be horrified! Having been trained as a Hearing Dog for Deaf People, any unusual sounds seem to terrify her (whereas gunfire she's quite comfortable with having been brought up in the country).“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

A few years ago i bought the cat one of those rotating heaters with the wildly bright bars (cant remember what they are called) , as she loved the one in the flat upstairs the girl had.
I think the heater cost about £30............cat only liked it on full blast....ended up with £600 leccy bill over the winter.
3 yrs ago when house hunting, i reolised she would love a conservatory...... 10K extra......
Last year new cat tree ( last one was 10yr old)
This year, pound toy....that i will throw into conservatory and a roll of tin foil.
Conservatory will last her for good, not sure what she likes more, me when feeding her....or her own glass sauna half the year. :rotfl:
Pound toys for the rest of her life ...... probably.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Sold the babble ball for half price (well it was second pawed now!) so it has gone to a new home to drive the owners of a Jack Russell mad! She will be allowed it in sessions of 5 minutes because the adults can't stand the noise for any longer! Seems she throws it in the air, hunts under sofa etc. It just sat on my floor- unloved and ignored.......Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I gave my daughter some dried tripe for her dog last year. Mine loves it. I put the wrapped parcel near the tree and curtains. She spent days trying to find where the smell was coming from, thinking the cat had done it's business somewhere nearby!0

I have pet rats and they will be getting a load of new hammocks for their cage which will hopefully come this week. I've also made some garlands and piñatas that I will hang up on Christmas morning, these consist or cheerios, dried pasta, popcorn, dog choc drops and tiny vanilla milk bones. I'll enjoy watching the ensuing pandemonium when they realise its food! I've also collected some empty boxes and some packing paper which they love as it makes a lot of noise, so they will have that and some boxes of tissues to shred up as well.
The hamsters will be getting some nice treat sticks to chew on and also a few packs of different treats that will last them a little while.
Everyone will be getting a nice Christmas dinner served up as well because they all love a bit of veg and my mum will send them some Turkey as a treat (I'm vegan).0
