NST: December 2016: A pared back Christmas

Today is definitely not a SFD. Went to town for the last Christmas present, spent on parking and a drink and cake with my friend. Couldn't find the present but did find a dress to wear to all the Christmas nights out. It's a backup dress as I've put on a lot of weight this term due to work stress and can't fit in most of my clothes, however if I manage to squeeze into an existing outfit, I'll return it. I only bought it now as I never go to clothes shops so if I didn't get anything today and couldn't fit into anything, I'd be stuck.
Also may have bought two dining room chairs! I don't have any and so if anyone comes round we have to eat on our knees, even though I have a table (the old chairs broke one by one). I saw two lovely chairs reduced in Next yesterday and after mulling it over and discussing with mum and my friend, it was unanimously decided that two chairs was a worthwhile spend from the renovation budgetI'm sat on one now and they're very comfy

Evening!
Like a few others on here - I've just not got going today! Had a lounging around day with the cat so that wasn't so bad. As a result of not leaving the house again...
Today = NSD number 4
Back to work tomorrow... Packed lunch made. I think my cupboards are endless... I seem to have loads to use up. Decided after much deliberation to cancel my gym sessions for the time being - though my membership is paid up until the end of the year. Will make an effort to get outdoors more.

NSD no 3 - slight cheat. I asked DS3 to do the washing up yesterday. He ignored me but later asked me how my day was. I gave a one word answer and he gave me a £10 note. Today DS2 came round and he went to the corner shop (past little Arseda closing time) for chocolate, diet coke and more sandwich ham. He was going to Tosco so I asked him to buy me some apples. I still have some of the DS3 money left.
Ankle is stronger today but bruising is very tender. I have done several small jobs but it hasn't made much of a dent in the things to be done (but let's not stress). Baby steps, baby steps.
Today I am grateful for ham and cheese spread tortillas (totally yum if a little extravagant), for good books which make me laugh (especially the one that tells the truth - complete with balcked out bits to prevent being sued for telling the truth) and for a pared back Christmas (paring back a little more each day - don't care if I have ham and cheese spread tortillas for Christmas dinner, save all the fuss). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening everyone,
The weekend has been an expensive one. Had a night out yesterday and spent around £45 though that did include food, a few drinks and a taxi home.
Today I've been grocery shopping though I didn't spend much. Will need to pick up a few wee extra bits during the week.
I'm on maternity leave at the moment but sadly I've just found out one of my colleagues passed away with brain cancer. As I'm not at work at the moment to add to their collection I'm thinking of making a donation to a cancer charity this month as an alternative.VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
calling forgive my ignorance but can't you just go back on the HRat again if not having it makes you unwell? Hope you get your energy back soon.

Hi everyone
Another late one from me.
2/18 sfd
Been looking after 2 dgds today. One stayed over last night and the other was dropped off this morning, we ate out of the cupboards and didn't get around to going out, naughty but my dd didn't leave me her pushchair and I gave the one I had to the cs.
Yesterday I did a bit of shopping and put just under £10 worth of food in the food bank so I can tick that off my list, it was great that they were collecting a the sm.
That's me for today, tomorrow I'm hoping for another sfd as I don't intend going out at all and I want to get my Monday cleaning done early so I can finish off another Xmas present. This craft making Xmas is great but very time consuming, I go into my craft room(well unused 3rd bedroom) and hours just fly by, it's like a forward moving time machine but I'm really enjoying it and thank goodness for YouTube for some great tutorials.
Off to bed for a quick read and sleep.

Definite fail yesterday. Do NOT go out he when feeling grotty. Both Chocolate, cake and apple pie appeared in my basket today. Didn't even manage to post the overseas cards as the post office bit of the co-op was closed.
