Hi guys
Early start here... Think OH would've been about 10 min late for work too...hopefully they'll be ok with it just being day 2 and not really sorted out the route etc... Or maybe it's worse that he's late on day 2... We'll see!
Bob, cycling might work for him but not for me (or the dog, ha ha) when he has the car. Reckon he'd hate it through our neck of the woods in the dark mornings too.
Team lunch here - just pizza hut so won't break the bank - but annoying as I have loads of good leftovers in the fridge wanting to be used up!
Must go reconcile YNAB - keep saying this!!
Catch up later x0 -
Just me talking about YNAB again :rotfl:
Enjoyed reading the Christmas blogs from their newsletter so thought I’d pass the link along https://www.youneedabudget.com/blog0 -

Morning all :hello: didn't get chance to post yesterday on my day off - was busy, busy , busy. More of the same today:
DH delivering b'day present to MIL for DD, will text him amount she owes
WFH, so under a blanket to keep heating off as long as poss although v cold and frosty here. Plenty of :coffee:
Meals from stores, new JO recipe tonight from him 'save' series, have all the ingredients in so we'll see if it makes the cut
Fridge/freezer dive for lunch
Move some money to savings so we're not tempted by a relatively healthy current account balance for once
Knitting tonight
May have a cheeky 'nap' on my (usually non existent) lunch hour
washing on airer
Right, must do some work0 -
Afternoon al,
Its very cold here but the sky is blue which helps my mood
Today's list
 Kids to breakfast club for free
 Gym class done and filled water bottle there
 Home for brunch, my dad made us an omelette
so no need for a lunch
 Using turkey breast strips from the freezer I've made a curry for the kids tea tonight/tomorrow which will help as tonight is a mad rush with after school clubs/swimming lessons etc
 Downloaded a couple of episodes of The Missing onto my phone to watch whilst out waiting for the kids as above
 Clean kitchen using stardrops
 Check banking/spreadsheets
 Check luckyphone/numberplate/fpl
 Hoover round
 update Bullet journal with a couple of diy jobs to be done on the house
That's a starter for me, I've finished my :coffee: so better get on.
Have a good day all.

Hello,
I'm going to stop buying coffee at Starbucks, as we have a perfectly fine coffee machine here and I end up spending a fiver each time. I then usually buy lunch and snacks a well!
So am going to stop doing that and buying lunch, unless its planned (like Christmas etc) or if I do go out for coffee that it's not a chain place etc.
I'm also going to go through my fridge and freezer tonight and see what leftover food I can make during the week, as I'm trying to avoid having too much waste as well...fingers crossed!
Here goes!

Afternoon all

Brrr freezing here
Today's list:
No heating downstairs :A (that wood stove is going to get lit shortly though!)
Received £2 shopping vouchers and some stamps from RM surveys
All HM meals
Dog walk
Walked to post office to drop off ebay parcels, called in to Mr S for a few bits on the way back. Shopping every couple of days seems to suit me better than weekly or monthly shops, though I have to take care only to buy what is on the list - only succumbed to some YS fish this morning though, which was £2.20 for 2 nice pieces and is now in the freezer
Housework - kitchen tidied and stairs, bathroom and rugs hoovered so far
RM survey tasks, no online surveys yet today though
Washing on line, will need to go on airer soon though, as it is getting very cold out as the sun is going down
Socks on bathroom towel thing to dry, as that is on anyway
Listed a few more things on ebay, no sales yet today though!0 -
I've just been to the local Indian supermarket instead - bought the rest of the curry ingredients and it was so much cheaper! And going to use ingredients up that I have at home, and also take leftovers to work tomorrow
coconut milk 89p instead of 1.99 at Tesco - bonus! And I also didn't buy anything I didn't need
