That's fine. If you believe that people who have faith are below average intelligence then who am I to argue?

I think you really have to consider if you wish to live with this situation for the rest of your life.

I know that if my partner was not able to put me first, at all times, then I would not be willing to stay with them.

I agree. My MIL was an awful woman, not just to me, but also to OH and just about every she ever knew or met. Thankfully OH stood up to her and would always take my side. Eventually though he decided to have no contact with her

It depends on how religious he is. Does he drink alcohol? Does he pray? If he prays then I'd be very cautious, the muslim view is any child born to a muslim father is automatically muslim (you won't like the punishment for your children leaving Islam). I wouldn't want my kids going to some nuthouse every week having their mind transformed by some nutter wanting the end of days to arrive.

Pointless stat as 90% of self-identifying Christians aren't even Christian. I say I am a lion, although I have no mane and no tail, am I still a lion? Most Christians never read the bible in full and pick & choose what they deem relevant for them simply to suit their lifestyles

I am tolerant of religious people as long as they don't affect my life. Unfortunately, fanatically religious people feel that only they are correct and have to impose their views on everyone else.

It worries me you define a lion by having a mane and a tail.

Sounds like you don't really respect anything but a male lion. With that sort of 1960's attitude you wouldn't fit in with the lion prides of the 21st century.
