Thinking about Katy-Ann and baby too.
I am jealous - I am shrinking as I get older, not expanding! I so wish I had more shape!
Glad to hear your good news LaE.
Strange day on the money front. I was paid £20 work expenses that I had forgotten about but I had also forgotten that I promised £10 in sponsorship to a work colleague. More good news in that I got a share in some wine that we were given by a customer so that's 2 bottles to squirrel away for Christmas.
2.5 hrs paid stuff on job no. 2 today which is good. Spent £6 in Lidl on essentials but shouldnt need anything tomorrow. Not a bad day all in all.0 -
Busy work day
- free coffee all day
- free buffet dinner with work function
- annoyed though lunch was provided but it wasn't spent £2.20 on a jacket potatoe
- posted an eBay parcel
- relisted unsold eBay posts
- FPL
- quidco and Totalcashback comps
- check market research apps nothing doing
That's all for me LP xCompetition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Congratulations Luckypenny how long can you stay for at the hotel? What a wonderful treat. Plus all the vouchers!
Foxgloves sorry to hear you are worrying. And hope your tests go ok.
Carrie Well done! Saving £450 in a month is terrific.
My own small things for today.
1. Big eBay sale of over £200. I won't have the money till the buyer collects but still I am very pleased.
2. Business is good. Viewings and forward bookings rolling in.
3. Home made pizza for tea for me, DH and DS.
4. Used up cooked pasta and sauce for DDs tea.
5. Lots of walking
6. Visited an exhibition at Tate modern for free
7. OH has made DS a costume for his themed day tommorow. Lots of the kids will be in bought costumes. Ours was recycled from a costume made for another party, our of a sofa throw
8. Home made ginger bread for treats
9. Low cost entertainment in the form of Netflix (Poldark)
10. Used up 90p in coppers today
Bob
Hi Bob
It would be fab if I got the hotel and the vouchers but it's a choice out of those 3 options. I'm going to find out more on Friday ...Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Morning folks,
Thinking about Katy_ann and Foxgloves xxx
Sorry for being awol yesterday. Had tonnes to do in work and was feeling quite anxious (you may remember that I suffered a lot from anxiety, but this is pretty much a thing of the past since starting Crossfit so I was surprised by yesterday's attack).
I did Crossfit at lunch time and felt much better and was having a pretty good afternoon, then a simple request from a client that I was dealing with turned into some sort of weird interdepartmental politics and I ended up having a row over email with a project manager and crying at my desk. It was implied that I am part of the wider issue at the company (re us losing money), which I take definite umbrage to. Don't know if he's seen/replied to my final email yet so have that to look forward to when I get in today
On the plus side, after calling her and telling her about the debacle, my lovely lovely friend that I work with was kind and brilliant and said some very sweet things about me that made me tear up again
Anyway, chin up. Here's today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Heating low only and after 7pm
- Gym/run at lunchtime depending on weather/wod
- Charge phone in work
- Course this afternoon in nearby town so free coffee and pastry hopefully!
- Remain a bright, shining unicorn in the face of such managerial ridiculousness :starmod:
- Crochet. I keep counting wrong and frogging the lettering on this afghan. Probably too stressed out last night so will do it again tonight.
Have a good one all

Ah sorry! Surely the hotel stay is more valuable than £50 though?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Morning All
Did anyone else watch Martin's show last night? Theme was energy bills. I had my geeky moment of pleasure when the lowest fixed tarrif they showed was MORE than we pay yearly! We live in a 3 bed house with no other heat source except the central heating, which gets used for 4/12 months per year & our bill annually is £848. I thought of all our chat here about walking round in scarfs and jumpers inside and smiled
Carrie hugs to you. Hope today is better.

Ahhh, CLF - I hope work isn't too too bad for you today. I usually try and think of work as 'not real life' - find that helps with stress. "It's only work and no one has died" (no one dies in mine anyway - I guess not true for the doctors and nurses etc among us).
That's funny about your OH but I hope they don't give him the silent treatment for too long and realise they were wrong for asking in the first place!!
Right, best get to work and start this 'not real life' malarkey.
Thanks for the well wishes guys - it's a bit of a relief let me tell you.

Good morning everyone,
Despite being kept busy with seeing my friend last night I managed to tick off my list. I'm playing football tonight but will aim to do the same again.
- Check banks and YNAB
- Read Martins email
- NSD
- Bring lunch to work
- Healthy dinner
- Charge phone at work
- Early night
- Read a bit more of my book
That'll do me.
PF - Enjoy your lunch.
La escocesa - Good way to think of work actually. I'm going to steal that.0 -
Cheers guys

Got a one word email in reply of "Thanks"
Well, I suppose that I did say that I didn't want to discuss it further
