I telephoned talktalk loyalty team today. I will be out of contract next month. Talktalk prices have shot up considerably. I have been a loyal customer for years now, and prices seem to be as much as £120.00 increase for the year, has any other existing customers finding this???

Broadband prices now include the line rental, whereas before they weren't included in their headline prices so was pretty much a hidden cost.0

I have found my fibre package price has gone down with talk talk signed up to the new 18 month contract..Like the previous poster said the prices include line rental0

thank you both for your contribution, yes i know the proces include line rental, here is my current package:
VLR paid upfront for 18 months (roughly £15.00 line rental a month)
£3.00 broadband
free any time boost
free international calls
Total price (with line rental) £18.00 a month
New package
£20.00 a month
no free calls
no free international calls
Total £20.00 a month
current package for 18 months: £324.00
New basic package 18 months: £360.00
Increase £36.00 for 18 months, and no free calls included
Read above whats included, and not, and read the price increases
so again, why are the packages available so expensive (with line rental) as mentioned above.
Hardly value for money!! as mentioned above, with line rental includedTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
You had an incredible deals to start with.
We're u a new customer ?0 -

I think you have been on a very good deal.0

Your deal was very very good and £20, including broadband is also good.
Providers seem to have used the new (stupid) legislation that broadband and line must be an inclusive price, to increase prices considerably, compared to the usual £1-£1.50 line rental increase.
Sky's free broadband is now included with line ,making the broadband element £5. I moved , just before the rise and PlusNet, to which I moved, has also had a large increase. (Thank the people who raved that headline broadband prices, with the small print saying you need to pay line rental, were misleading)0 -

I spoke to the loyalty team today.
I was offered a package called "fast broadband plan" which costs £25.50 and includes unlimited broadband and landline.
If i want the same included in my current package, i would need to pay the addittional:
International max - £10.00
unlimited calls: £5.00
total over 18 months: £40.50 - what madness i thought!!
after pushing, loyalty team got it down to £35.45 for the month, still too high i thought.
and then said, if he stripped all the extras away (so landline and broadband only) it would be £20.00 a month - still rubbish i think!!
we then discussed my current package.
free evening and weekend calls, free international calls to 36 counties (landline and mobile) £27.61 a month - again rubbish!!
i asked if loyalty could get the cost down, and was then offered £21.86 for 9 months, still rubbish, but better than going on their current tarrifs. left it while thinking about it. its getting mighty expensive to have broandband and a lane line now!!Trinidad - I have a number of needs. You have been spoiled so expect good deals all the time. It's very rare to get a double calls package free.
If you can't get a deal, try elsewhere, but no one is feeling over generous.0
