Just found £22 in my purse which is a result! Id oredered some things for mil and her aunt from amaz0n, and theyd paid me back which i forgot.
I'm trying to decide if i should keep that for xmas pressies, or pay it off debt. I know which i should really do, but i dont want to leave my self short and end up using my cc again!!
Budgets for this week -
Food £0/£50
Fuel £20/£20
School dinners - £12/£12
Other £0/£20
I have a day off today and plan on sorting the house out. It needs it badly.... started in the kitchen, so one room is done. Waiting for the floor to dry now before going back in. The two little ones are at home, and ds (3) is "helping!!" meStill here..... but working on that!0 -

Yeah, same here!
However, you are doing so well already, and December is a hard month to save or pay off debt.
I am concentrating on January as a starting point now. As from next week the kids are off school for Christmas, so the shopping bill will be higher, there will be more electricity and water being used etc.
Damage control is good

Thanks both. I thought id replied a couple of days ago but obviously didnt post.
I just arote a massive post but lost it because i keep getting distracted by the kids
Anyway, this week was rubbish, to cut a long story short i havent been food shopping because i didnt want to get overdrawn, and put petrol in by using the credit card as i had to get to work.
Luckily dh got paid early this month, was meant to be wednesday. It went in yesterday, along with £30 cashback from qu1dco for utility switching, and this morning i had £50 interest in my savings account! Theres no money in there now savings wise, but was before i was on maternity.
I used the money to start paying debt number 2, which was my v3ry account. Everything on there is on bnpl, and i needed to pay off £73 by Feb to avoid interest on the first part. So i made that payment! :j and the next bit is £130 by April, which I'm not worried about at all! Things are going in the right direction :beer:Still here..... but working on that!0 -

£80 unexpected income this week? I'd say that is a winner! Plus, you've started paying off your debt, YAY! :j
I've done quite a big food shop, but only because I'm hoping to avoid the supermarkets for at least a week! With the boys being home from school, i am going through food like there is no tomorrow!
You're doing great!0 -
Wanttobese - thanks, it was definitely good news
i hope your kids leave you some food for xmas day :rotfl:
Ive done my xmas food shop too, missed a few bits that i couldnt get in aldi or maybe i could but the fact that ds was sleeping on me made life difficult to shop!! I also got my parents a bottle of wine each, which was the final pressies i needed. Just need to get wrapping now........
A friend gave me £50 she owed me on Sunday, so i made a payment off the v3ry account again so the balance is now £467.
I was told by a colleague that our pay was going in today, its usually the 25th, anyway ive checked the bank and its not there. Hopefully it'll be tomorrow. I feel like ive already dipped into dh's pay far to much this month already  january could be a long one.....Still here..... but working on that!0 -
My husband's work sent him an email which said ' you might be paid on the 23rd but it will be before the 29th' he usually gets paid on the last day of the month. So utterly useless really in terms of planning! Thankfully we aren't needing that pay to do xmas." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Well Christmas has been and gone, and its been a busy one!
We have enough chocolate and sweets to last until about september, and enough toys for the whole village to play with
Havent spent since xmas eve, ive resisted the sales. Im not the best at shopping unless i need something anyway.
I didnt have so many toiletries this year as gifts, so im going to have to buy some shower gel this year. The past couple of years ive had so much for xmas that i havent bought anything.
Im waiting for the bills to go out tomorrow to see where we are financially. Its probably going to be a long month money wise.....Still here..... but working on that!0
