  • Well pay day has been, not as much as i thought id have. I manahed not to be tempted by the trillions of black friday deal emails!! No money spent yesterday except ds's school fees, which i had no choice but to pay.

So not much to note, no debt repayments made until i work out how much we have spare, but also no silly spends!
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Spent £2 today, which is great.
Also i only apent £25 on food shopping last week, and i think I'll probably only spend about the same this week. Theres loads of meat in the freezer. I just need to remember to pull it out and defrost it!

I've been for two runs this weekend, lovely and fresh outside, and i felt fab after it.

Hopefully tomorrow i'll get a chance to sit down and do the finances on paper.
Still here..... but working on that!

  • Thanks Bob, ive got really in to running after having the baby. Ive even done a half marathon this year.

Ive just worked out the bills, and spare money. We have £125 spare this month after bills, food dd's school dinners and £20 worth of extras.

I do have a few xmas pressies to buy though so thats not going to stretch very far! Will have to work this out later.

Ive budgeted £50 a week for food, as there's 5 of us, and its xmas.

I just made a payment of £18 to n3xt, leaving a balance of £25,which is what ive got a standing order set for in the next day or two, so that will clear my balance :j

£50 a week for food is doable. Have you got much in?

Well done on doing a half marathon by the way!

  • £50 a week is definitely doable, i spent £26 yesterday in l1dl. Ive got lots of meat in the freezer, and plenty of fresh bits now. I counted 11 lots of meat in the freezer.
Dd has school dinners, but the rest of us have lunch from home.

Plan for today - make lunch for work
Not stop in any shop!! (I've been good at this lately!)
    No online shopping either!!
Pull food out of the freezer for tea
Watch dd's Carol singing concert tonight £2

The car is going into the garage on thursday, i have no idea how much this will cost
It'll probably eat up my spare £125 :(

Well that sounds good on the food front!

Sorry to hear about the car. There's always something isn't there!

Well the Next payment went out today, clearing the balance on it :j
1 debt down, 3 to go

Ok so onto the next debt... my V3ry account, which has a balance of £590. This is all on buy now pay later, so no interest currently being paid.
I need to pay £73 by End of Feb to avoid interest on the first bit.
£132 by end of April, and the rest (£383) is interest free until Nov 2017.
ve bought dd's xmas pressie on here and a few other bits, hence the balance. I'm owed £160 in expenses so when i'm paid those ill pay some straight off.

Happy with my progress so far :)
Still here..... but working on that!

Brilliant, what a great feeling it is to clear your balance!
Hopefully I'll be doing the same in the next few weeks.
  • Well a busy weekend has been and gone.
Luckily i only spent £25 on food last week, so that gave a bit extra for a new dress and a xmas jumper for dd! I know i need to budget for clothes but dh didnt have full pay last month so i didnt have much to play with.

    Ive reworked the budgets,
£50 a week for food, £20 a week for petrol, £20 a week for extras, £12 for school dinners.

This leaves me with £63 spare, which i should probably put towards xmas presents/cards and food!
Still here..... but working on that!
